02 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: (2ndWhiteLine): Glad you didn't require a RR :) |
02 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: (Rancher): god yours sucks!! |
02 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: (2ndWhiteLine): That's because I quit a few games after I realized the variant wasn't very good or fun. One of the side effects of experimenting with new boards, I guess. |
02 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: (drano019): You think quitting is ok? Perhaps i should leave this game now... |
02 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: (2ndWhiteLine): On webdip, absolutely not. But on there, you know what you're getting into. With a standard Diplomacy game, you know what you're getting into. There are no bugs, movement issues, lack of competitive balance, and overall bad variants. My opinion of vDip is that it's good for two things - having fun and beating Rancher. If a new variant isn't fun, if there are bugs, if the countries aren't balanced, then there's no good reason to continue. If you want a quality game, go to webdip. If you want to play some different variants with weaker competition and fewer formal conventions, you go to vdip. |
02 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: (Rancher): why I oughtta ... |
02 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: (drano019): and with that response Im out. Sorry Rancher, but i cant play a game with someone who thinks ruining the game for other people (via cd) is ok just because the map is a littke off or theyre not having fun. First blacklist add too. Impressive. |
02 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: (drano019): Oh and 2ndwhiteline, please go to 'help', then 'etiquette' and read up. A responsibikity of yours on here is to respect other players. Quitting and ruining games for others is not respect. |
02 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: (Rancher): ok, drano019, that is your choice, but I can vouch that 2ndwhiteline is a very seasoned player who is fun to compete against ... regardless, I think we'll get enough players for this one |
03 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: game on |
03 Nov 12 UTC | Spring, 40: Thanks Rancher. I think my record on webdip speaks for itself. In any case, good luck! |
05 Nov 12 UTC | Autumn, 40: please finalize |
05 Nov 12 UTC | Autumn, 40: It's reasonable to ask for finalizing on builds/retreats, but some of us may have comm we are still trying to work out before the phase changes... |
