09 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: So many bounces...
09 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: All fleets! Woot! On a map with all of 2 landlocked centres :D
09 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: How the heck did i get all armies? oh my
09 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: you guys don't have even read this seriously?
09 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: http://vdiplomacy.com/variants.php#GreekDip

C'mon, if you don't read it, it's like playing backgammon thinking that you are playing chess...LOL
09 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: Yeah but it doesn't matter, on this map Sparta has a tendency to get hosed off the start. Pretty defensible afterwards since armies are so versatile for supports etc, but off the start to have any kind of unified territory you almost need to take centres which give mostly armies.
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: what about ithaca, corciga, cydonia?
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: btw, silly question, it's proper name it's rhodes or rhoades?
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: not really.... its like playing a variant of Chess in which you have all pawns except for a queen and a king, while your opponent has a king a queen and multiple bishops, rooks, and other versatile pieces.

I have read it, but forgive me if i don't recall the starting pieces for every single territory. please
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: just bear in mind that with few exceptions, all non-island terrains get an army. and i was not blaming anyone or smt like that, it was just funny to me, since i read all the details of each variant i play and even those that i don't play also :)
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1550 BC.: It's Rhodes ;) And yes you could take Ithaca, but probably not Corcyra. It takes 5 phases to get from your original centre to get there.
