12 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1862: [Turkey]:Most High Dignitaries,

It is with utmost regret that I come before you to beg your forgiveness for my most unpardonable offense: vacancy from the field during our last turn taking.

I throw myself before your mercy and ask only that you consider the following:

I was stricken with a minor case Ebola, sick unto death and expelling minor provinces from my imperial orifices. This is shocking, since I don't even eat pork, and was fasting at the time.

Further:

I was thrown from a willful mare, and sprained, if not broke, my royal coccyx. I was quite erect in the saddle at the time, and landed face first in an unwelcoming dune. My favorite wife Selassie says that I am now bent like the back of a lowly camel. Little does she know that her sister, my 4th favorite, fancies me.

Consider also: My grand vizier, Colonel Baron Von Meiselbach of Prussia, imbibed unholy quantities of fermented Turkish date liquor before raiding my royal harem. Such was his sexual prowess and legendary fertility that a quarter of my harem is now out of commission.

Not the least of my woes, I was chided and degraded by my erstwhile allies of France and England as a big turkey during the deepest of my misfortunes, without even a word of concern or offer of help.

I am alone in the world, and yet I am not defeated. I am a Turkman. That is to say, a conqueror. I shall surely destroy you all.
12 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1862: [Britain]:Cool story.
12 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1862: [Turkey]:Thanks I mean I know it was a good story and everyone tells me but coming from you its something special.
15 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1862: GameMaster: Turkey voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
15 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1862: [USA]:Doesn't work that way Turkey.
24 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1863: [USA]:Come on Mexico!
24 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1863: GameMaster: Japan voted for a Cancel. If everyone votes Cancel all points will be refunded and the game will be deleted from the database.
24 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1863: [USA]:Japan?
25 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1863: [Japan]:Oh crap meant to save my orders. srrymy phone is too small
29 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1863: [Turkey]:LETS GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD
03 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1864: [Turkey]:Selam!

While I was away attending to business at my chain of lucrative gas stations, you were all tearing each other apart like the wild animals I knew you to be. Like flies caught in a cruel web you vainly beat your wings, while I, I the Ottoman Orümcek, look on in anticipation of the awaiting morsel.

As Confucius once said to a lady of the night, I can wait so good. And so I can. You are all children in war, your movements unplanned, your objectives vanities. You flit about like animated dust in the sunlight.
05 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1864: GameMaster: China voted for a Extend. If 2/3 of the active players vote Extend the the current phase will be extend by 4 days. Please consider backing this. If the majority is not reached by "Spring, 1865" the votes will be cleared.
08 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1864: GameMaster: USA voted for a Pause. If everyone votes Pause the game stop and wait till everybody votes Unpause. Please consider backing this.
08 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1864: [Austria]:I'm more than happy to Accommodate Extensions/Pauses. I am tired of the NMRs it is changing the natural dynamic of this game.
08 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1864: [USA]:Didn't mean to vote pause, but I agree with Austria. Too many NMRs this game
09 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1864: [Britain]:NMRs have showed up a bit in Europe and the Med. But the countries that are NMRing aren't voting for pauses so there is little we can do.
