03 Feb 15 UTC Guaroz (Gamedirector): Hi Everybody,
There is another game still ongoing, in this 2nd Round. Nobody knows how long it will take, but in the meanwhile I thought that you could appreciate the following reminders.

Please everyone, start checking your own Integrity rate. If it's not good enough, you might be unable to join your next Round games.
You don't find everyday a good CD-position to take over and sometimes you don't find any at all. So please be smart, check now and often your Integrity rate and in case fix it asap.

Another good idea might be to brush up on the Rulebook. Months pass and you might forget something important. As usual, I'm available via PM if anything.

Thank you! :)

The silence is still ON.
04 Feb 15 UTC Guaroz (Gamedirector): The silence is OFF and it will be for 3 days
05 Feb 15 UTC Hi, GG.. in this case, I think it's worth remarking that getting to 2022 with no eliminations must be a sort of record (and is a testament to the equilibrium in the tournament).
South Africa: I was hoping we'd get Madagascar out of our backs, but I had too few fleets to get into the Indian Ocean.
Madagascar: I was always fearing you'd stab me in the back (and perhaps you should have.. especially when Egypt attacked me), thanks for not doing that ;)
Egypt: as I mention above, your attack might have succeeded, had Madagascar joined you in the same way I joined Morocco against you (I was suggesting a truce, but Morocco's attack changed the situation).
Nigeria: nice job.. for a moment I even feared you'd get the solo
05 Feb 15 UTC Yeah, Madagascar laying off you when I attacked was huge. I didn't even want to attack you, but the way things looked for a critical turn, you had an opening if you chose to take it and the only way I'd be able to defend was to move against you. I didn't see any way to communicate that I didn't want conflict with you, while also keeping myself protected.
05 Feb 15 UTC Good points. I think I was still a little knee-deep with South Africa at the juncture you mentioned. If I'd had a little more ambition, I would have launched the second front at that moment perhaps. One very subtle move in 2020 was key with Ethiopia not challenging my take of the open SC in Malawi. If he had, I probably would undoubtedly turned north, but the signal was enough that he wanted to work with me and I was more than happy to oblige.
05 Feb 15 UTC Good game.
Perhaps the design of this map helps, but it's nice to see some stable balance of powers in a gunboat.
06 Feb 15 UTC I definitely felt targeted from the get go being the country with the highest benchmark. I was disappointed to see my draw and see no one wanted to work together of the bat. Nonetheless, I'm happy Egypt finally saw the uselessness in continuing to attack me, I kinda felt bad about eventually turning on you. I thought it was an interesting game to watch develop, thanks everyone!
06 Feb 15 UTC Well, I targeted you from the getgo because I knew I had to win or lose quickly
06 Feb 15 UTC Good game.
I think I didn't do too bad in the first 3-4 years, but unfortunately for me, I decided to trust Nigeria a bit too long. from autumn 2016 it only went downward for me. I hoped to make peace with south africa by returning 2 centers I took from him, so I could concentrate on defending my northern front, but my defense wasn't strong enough to keep defending on 2 sides.
Tecnical question - is there no connection from Luxor to Khar, and Omdur to Hur?
06 Feb 15 UTC http://www.vdiplomacy.com/edit.php?variantID=83&mode=all&edit=off&mapsize=small&mapmode=all&terrID=25&terrID=62

No, no connection thruogh the cross
06 Feb 15 UTC *through
