11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1903: I see why the stats show that Frankland wins the vast majority o these... more SC's in their back lines. You only need 2 to win... you can pick up Port and Lvp and just hold me off from here...
12 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1904: That's strange...army Tyrolia cannot retreat to Bohemia.. it didn't move there..so should be able to retreat there, but my only choice is disband
12 Feb 16 UTC Because it was disputed... a battle had been ought there. It was my cunning plan... :-)
12 Feb 16 UTC That must be a difference between this variant and standard classic Diplomacy
12 Feb 16 UTC Because it was disputed... a battle had been ought there. It was my cunning plan... :-)
12 Feb 16 UTC Umm... not sure about that. I don't think in any of these games you can retreat into a territory in which there had been a bounce. Same principle I think as defending a third space between your 2 units that mutually bounce.
12 Feb 16 UTC Might be headed for a draw...if I'd known that rule I would have used army Piedmont to attack Venice, not from Tuscany, then there would have been a retreat option
12 Feb 16 UTC Looks to me like you've played this game quite a few times, and you've not encountered that situation before? Also, you seem to be very versed in Frankland...
12 Feb 16 UTC I've played a lot of classic Diplomacy at WebDiplomacy... Just joined here..completed (approx ? ) 8 games playing 3...all England V Turkey or Frankland V Juggernaut
12 Feb 16 UTC Yeah, both those games have pretty skewed results. Frankland v Juggernaut, or example, is mostly Frankland wins, as they've got more in the backline.

Why not join some multi-player games? Some good ones here. There is one called Colonial 1885-3 looking for just a couple more players before it opens.
12 Feb 16 UTC Anyway, this was too hard.. even though I took Warsaw back and in a couple more turn, could likely have pressed through the centre, I lost. You still had a spare SC in Portugal. Many of these 2 player games are really not even, or the victory conditions hinge on a very narrow margin.
12 Feb 16 UTC I joined here to play one against one games...without the complexities of multi player games...wanted a break from that side of the game
