03 Jun 16 UTC | Good game all. |
03 Jun 16 UTC | In my other 1600 games, Denmark soloed each time easily. So, I thought I'd do everyone a favour and just attack Denmark relentlessly. Surprisingly, that worked, and by that time, I was in the lead and could hold on, mostly due to France and Spain being fleetless I think. |
03 Jun 16 UTC | (Habsburg CD plus Ottoman attacks on Habsburg also helped.) |
03 Jun 16 UTC | I built the wrong units, and played too much of a defensive game. Good game all, I really enjoyed it. |
03 Jun 16 UTC | Took over Spain in this game and grew from 2 to 3 and survived so I am happy. First time I played this variant. Funny thing is that I and the variant creator Tommy Larsson went together to Gothenburg to the GothCon this Eastern. |
03 Jun 16 UTC | It also helped that Ottoman attacked me instead of supporting me in holding England at bay. Strike one, turkey. |
03 Jun 16 UTC | Yeah, didn't help that I could never make peace with Germany or Spain, or that as soon as I finally got strong enough to begin moving on you, Turkey took Provence from me for no reason. Strike two, Turkey. |
