08 Jan 17 UTC | Spring, 1901: GameMaster: Please remember that negotiations before the game begins are not allowed. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | Spring, 1901: Info: This is a choose your country game. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | Spring, 1901: I'm here; let's go! |
08 Jan 17 UTC | Spring, 1901: sweet. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 1901: That was what I meant to do in the other game! |
08 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 1902: some people France has the leg up in this game, but i firmly think that Austria has the advantage. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | So you retreat into Trieste and this game is over too! I better concede now! |
08 Jan 17 UTC | I probably need that strategy lesson now! |
08 Jan 17 UTC | GameMaster: Austria voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | haha. just play it out. you never know. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | You have played this too many times and know what probabilities there are before I can come up with them. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | Once you have Trieste, you are already in my back lines and I have no builds and have to disband somewhere, so it just gets embarrassing. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | So beside Munich and Kiel, the other key SC's are Tunis and St Pete? I could have guessed Tunis, but probably not St Pete. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | as France, you have two possible openings. Brest -> MAO Par -> Bur Mar - > Pie or Brest -> MAO Par -> Pic Mar - > Bur |
08 Jan 17 UTC | the 2nd concedes venice for time being to concentrate north? |
08 Jan 17 UTC | either move is focused on taking either St. Pete or Tunis. by keeping either one of those, and maintaining Munich and Berlin, you will have 17 SCs. if you can get both St. Pete and Tunis. you will have 18 for the victory. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | yes. taking Venice is basically impossible. but by moving there, you make Aus focus on getting that unit and allows you to move other units elsewhere. |
08 Jan 17 UTC | the challenge is that the best move by both sides is to move North and ignore Marseilles/Piedmont. Brest -> MAO Par -> Pic Mar - > Bur and Vie -> Tyr Bud -> Gal Tri -> Alb |
08 Jan 17 UTC | but if either team takes the south move, then the other has to react and not give up position |
08 Jan 17 UTC | as Aus, my preferred move is Vie -> Tyr Bud -> Tri Tri -> Alb |
