08 Apr 17 UTC | Spring, 1939: (Technostar): (I know it'll go away once the game starts) |
08 Apr 17 UTC | Spring, 1939: (slypups): Good luck all - hopefully the final two players fill this out and we don't have first round NMRs to delay it further. |
08 Apr 17 UTC | Spring, 1939: (slypups): Kind of cool that you can actually land on Iceland in this map, compared to the unnamed blob in Classic which looks big enough to be a territory you can occupy, but you can't. |
18 Apr 17 UTC | Spring, 1942: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Turkey replacing "Diplomat69". Reconsider your alliances. |
26 Apr 17 UTC | Autumn, 1944: GameMaster: Britain voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
27 Apr 17 UTC | Autumn, 1944: GameMaster: Britain voted for a Cancel. If everyone votes Cancel all points will be refunded and the game will be deleted from the database. |

27 May 17 UTC | Thank you for the game. |
27 May 17 UTC | Yep thanks all - Turk, somehow you made it through! |
27 May 17 UTC | Germany - I thought the stab might come, but you got me me a turn before I was really ready |
27 May 17 UTC | Good game! |
27 May 17 UTC | I had no way of beating my way through that British line at the end, so I decided to just take the draw as it was. |
27 May 17 UTC | As for reflection, the early game was dominated by the peace between Germany, Italy, and me. Britain certainly helped me out quite a bit against Spain, though he expanded in a direction that was easy for me to attack. I was surprised the triple alliance lasted as long as it did. I think the most fun part of this game for me was sneaking units into the British middle east. I just love how SAO, RS, and PG are all connected. By the way, may I ask who created this game? |
27 May 17 UTC | Also, I thought PPSC meant that points were distributed based on SC count in the event of a draw or win. Is that not the case? |
27 May 17 UTC | Nope - both PPSC and WTA split points evenly in a draw, it is only per supply center where there is a win. So even if you lose in PPSC, you'll get some points. In WTA, everything goes to the winner, so there is greater incentive to stop a solo. In PPSC, you may be ok with letting someone solo as long as you pick up enough SCs to satisfy yourself. So pretty surprising Turkey survived here. |
27 May 17 UTC | Strange, it's the opposite way around in WebDip's sum-of-squares scoring system. Draws are split proportionally while solos take all. I probably would've tried to kill of Turkey before taking a draw had I known that it's different here. |
27 May 17 UTC | That was a good game. I was hoping the alliance between IT and F might brake. As i realized that this wont happened i decided that i cant play for the win. So i let Russia alive as a small allie in the southeast. Italy you was really surprised of my attack? Some rounds before my attack I give SM for Russia... Good game everyone. It was fun. |
27 May 17 UTC | Not terribly surprised, just should've acted a turn earlier |
28 May 17 UTC | Also Wbdip rules just recently changed, we have the long standing PPSC rules here |
