04 May 17 UTC Spring, 1901: GameMaster: Missing orders for Spring, 1901 (Diplomacy) from a country with 2 or more SCs. Extending phase. The game will continue after this phase even if you do not find a replacement.
04 May 17 UTC Spring, 1901: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Turkey replacing "Smokey Gem". Reconsider your alliances.
29 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1909: GameMaster: England voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
05 Jun 17 UTC Austria gave the game away early by opening against me (Italy) and letting Turkey run rampant on him.
05 Jun 17 UTC Actually, it seems that it was your NMR that gave Turkey access to Ionian sea that turned the game for him - without it, I reckon France would've won.
05 Jun 17 UTC Well gg guys. Congratulations to Turkey.

It was a tough ride for me with Russia putting immediate pressure on me, England allying with Russia and France unfortunately grasping the first opportunity to move into my territories.
05 Jun 17 UTC In hindsight, it was a mistake from me to focus on Germany and not France, but I saw the advance on Sweden and was worried that Russia would fall and then I would be next in line for your advance. Anyway, well played France and Turkey.
05 Jun 17 UTC Thank you all for a great game
05 Jun 17 UTC I never NMR'd so I'm not sure what you mean. When Austria or Italy opens immediately against each other, in my experience that pretty much kills any chance for either of them, and Turkey and Russia (particularly Turkey) are the biggest beneficiaries).
05 Jun 17 UTC Okey, I see. Then the misplay in Autumn 1905, when you didn't support-hold the fleet in the Ionian Sea.
05 Jun 17 UTC Again - kind of stuck when dealing with a hostile Austria there. If I support hold Ionian, Austria takes advantage.
05 Jun 17 UTC Thanks all for a Good game.

I waited to long to break the brits, keeping my fleets in the north for to long. :) and even Though germany let me in anywhere i Got to munich/Berlin to late.

The russian in Denmark, and italy giving up ionian ses was the major annoyances for me This game.

Rematch??
05 Jun 17 UTC Poor Italy...having to deal with hostile neighbors disallowing his victory. Lol.
05 Jun 17 UTC It was quite annoying that whilst I was so supportive of you, you immediately seized the opportunity to take Belgium when i disbanded my unit there (due to Russia's and Britain's continuous pushing towards my territories).

That was my death sentence haha.

Not able to do a rematch atm.
05 Jun 17 UTC I'd rather not play with you CoXBoT, since you seem to have no clue about a Italy-Austria dynamics out the gate. Sure sometimes one of those two hits the other eventually, but if it is in the first year, that's pretty much an automatic fail for both - novice play, but I suppose it might work against other novices - play with them.
05 Jun 17 UTC Not even going to validate that with a retort. Best of luck. Hope you never have to play with me either.
06 Jun 17 UTC Italy, the beauty of the game is that the dynamics involve the possibility of each country attacking any of its neighbors. Still, Autumn 05 you actively chose not to defend Ion with a move that you didn't complete (look at the orders archive). We all make mistakes, so I'm not blaming you for making one, but that mistake was what lost you the game, not the initial hostility, as you dealt with that quite nicely. Or the combined pressure of you and Turkey did.
06 Jun 17 UTC Whether I held Ionian for one more turn or not, Turkey was beyond my ability to control him at that point. Sure any one country can attack any other, but Italy or Austria attacking the other in year 1 ALWAYS is a loser move for both unless you have a complete noob as the victim of the stab. I've NEVER seen it work out for Italy or Austria where the other players played with any competence. Please, show me a counter-example. That's why I say Austria made a novice move to open that way.
06 Jun 17 UTC Dude, all I'm saying is that you fucked up the hold. Without Ionian he would be forced to move through Germany. You could've held it despite the Austrian opening.
