25 Aug 11 UTC	Spring, 1904: im wondering peoples opinions on NMRs. some people think they ruin a game and others think they are a natural part of the online game. im a little more in the camp of it being bad for games though one NMR one time doesnt "ruin" a game. that being said is anyone in favor of drawing this game? france has been CD for a while which has benefited certain players, myself included, and now we just had 2 NMRs which, in my opinion, greatly benefited certain players. i am not proposing this simply because i think im in a worse position. its a matter of fairness and whether players think that the game is impacted enough by multiple players not playing to compromise the games integrity. hopefully decisions are made independent of their position
25 Aug 11 UTC	Spring, 1904: I would consider it when France and Turkey are gone, not before it ... it is not like it happened in 1901. But generally multiple NMRs by the same player or a default/CD or two are not good for a game, though I do also agree that a little bit of it comes with the territory of playing online
26 Aug 11 UTC	Spring, 1904: i would agree about eliminating france since though he seems to be back he had essentially stopped playing but turkey i think would take too long. if we decide to eliminate turkey it would take long enough that we would basically be deciding to continue the game.

26 Aug 11 UTC	Spring, 1904: russia missed too. should we eliminate that whole half of the board? my point is that france would take one turn to eliminate but turkey would at least take a couple years. at that point we would be far enough in the game that we have basically decided to continue and not draw at this point
26 Aug 11 UTC	Spring, 1904: no, Turkey will take just one more missed turn (15 hours right now) before he CDs and is eliminated for purposes of a draw, that's how it works ... 2 consecutive NMRs is computed as a CD/default and he will be out of it
26 Aug 11 UTC	Spring, 1904: Russia did not officially miss, he must have logged in at some time into this game ... while that doesn't put in moves for him, the programming of this site avoids him CDing because he checked in
26 Aug 11 UTC	Spring, 1904: well turkey put in retreats so he wont CD. i thought you were talking about taking all his centers but yea if he CDed then he wouldnt be in the draw. does anyone else have an opinion one way or the other?
