16 Oct 17 UTC	Congratulations Mayor! @Kaner, I think we screwed up big time here. I tried to slightly reconcile after I went full on you at the start, yet to no avail. I hoped that my army convoy onto Italy's peninsula would be enough for us to work out something together against Italy, yet you kept slamming on my territories until we were both practically defeated by Italy.

16 Oct 17 UTC	Actually when Serbia continued an attack against me in the first couple of seasons despite my obvious moves to try to stiffle Italy, I thought -bugger it- let's show Serbia what happens if you attack Austria without considering the Italian threat. Towards the end I was just hoping to knock Serbia out of the game. No more than that.
16 Oct 17 UTC	This was my first try at this variant and I realised soon enough that my opening strategy was playing in the hand of Italy (also combined with Greece focussing East instead of picking up Palermo for example). My turn towards Italy came perhaps too late, though we might have been able to hold him off for a while had you not decided to show me how shit was gonna go down haha.

16 Oct 17 UTC	Seems like Italy starts with a lot of neutral SCs in range and a west coast that can be held easily with fleets if no one moves west early. Sorry that we fought all game Romania, only 1 can control the Black Sea. I turned west too late. @Kaner406 Big shoutout to the Diplomacy Games podcast, I listen to every episode.
