04 May 21 UTC | Allllllright! BIG shout out to Austria for keeping a peaceful border with me all game long! I was totally exposed throughout, even before Turkey became a solo threat. Obviously nice job to Turkey for getting a huge lead, that was a drawn out battle to keep you in check. Good game guys. |
04 May 21 UTC | Yeah, extremely well played by Austria and Prussia to hold me there. I think I had a shot at the solo if it wasn't for that English NMR in autumn 1711 that had Prussia building instead of disbanding, but oh well. England, I had wanted to keep you alive in Marseilles, but gg with the attempt to throw. It was the right play. I think Spain should've realized their only chance to love was to throw as well. Surprised they fought me to the end, but it was a good fight. Venice - I didn't want to stab you, but since you weren't helping me against Austria you really have me no choice. |
04 May 21 UTC | Good games to all. And a great battle between the two superpowers. I am sorry that England, Spain and Venice couldn’t make the cut... and that I gave them the coup de grâce, but the urge was to establish a stalemate line. Otherwise you fought bravely. |
04 May 21 UTC | England was a gigantic thorn in my side (which is a compliment). |
05 May 21 UTC | I got steamrolled. |
05 May 21 UTC | Well, I did the best I could with what I had. I'm just glad I actually had an impact. |
05 May 21 UTC | The outcome was of course inevitable. When I took England over, a stalemate line had already been formed that was (at least on mainland europe, Novgorod to Vienna side) hardened and couldn't be dislodged. Prussia was going to shift fleets west and I would fall. But at least I didn't go gently into that good night. |
05 May 21 UTC | Congrats to the winners. My first time with the variant and I suppose that it showed. |
