Where would you go to see... if money or time were no object?
One of them for me would be Cherrapunji in India:

I have heaps of other places I would like to visit, but would like to hear about where people here would like to go as well.

bozo - Barriston Selmy: Never rattled, always solid and strong, nearly unbeatable
B-RICH94 - Robb Stark: Upstart leader, never looses a battle, underestimated, where did this guy come from?
Captainmeme - Bran Stark: A pure player, natural survivor
cypeg - Roose Bolton: A versatile competitor, can be loyal ally or a crafty foe, would take the fat chick for her weight in gold
DEFIANT - Robert Baratheon: Fighting, drinking, and whoring himself through Diplomacy
Devonian - Bronn: A master of 1v1 combat, doesn’t translate into the big picture
Dr. Recommended - Varys: Always the puppet master, a finger in every pie
drano019 - Stanis Baratheon: Natural born asskicker, usually right in most debates, but can get drawn off tangent, stubborn as a mule
GOD - Gregor Glagane: Ruthless, extremely difficult to defeat, but seldom sees real victory
Gopher27 - Grand Maester Pyrell: Full of useful knowledge that no one wants to listen to
Guaroz - Littlefinger: A wicked tyrant operating behind the scenes
Jimbozig - Jamie Lannister: More honorable that first glance would indicate, picks a fight with everyone possible
Jonnikhan - Mace Tyrell: Will ally with anyone, as long as it keeps him on the side in power
kaner406 - Maester Luwin: Faithful friend, does far more than he's appreciated for, until he's not around anymore
LakersFan - Loras Tyrell: Underappreciated for his skills, much more dangerous than it might seem
Leif Syverson - Jon Snow: Almost as good as a big stepbrother, probably could be if he stopped chasing girls
Mapu - Davos Seaworth: A loyal advisor and consultant, with a dubious past that he's overcome but cannot shake
Oli - Jeor Mormont: Faithful to the realm regardless of all else
Raro - Baylon Greyjoy: Skilled enough to scare the crap out of everyone, but crazy enough to take on the whole map
Retillion - Tyrion Lannister: Crafty, and probably not as evil as he's accused of being, always has a crew of likely lads to protect him
RUFFHAUS 8 - Sandor Clegane: Too angry and impatient to be a knight, doesn’t care, kicks ass anyway
SandgooseXXI - Theon Greyjoy: Wants to be noble and good, but cannot resist the dark side, frequently victimised
Spartan22 - Jon "The Greatjon" Umber: Typically loyal and strong, yet impatient and easily distracted
Talrus - Jorah Mormont: Primarily a noble loyal all, but not above betraying you if the price is right
The Ambassador - Renly Baratheon: Full of drive and ambition early on, easily distracted, cannot be bothered with ruling
The Desert Fox - Lord Eddard Stark: Noble and loyal to the end, even though it's going to get him killed
Tiger - Jory Cassell: A steady henchman, probably bound to get knifed in the eye
Tomahaha - Walder Frey: Stubborn, greedy, prefers not to fight at all, but not above a dastardly deed

...Mapu has a dubious past? :P
RUFFHAUS 8 (2490 D)
21 Apr 14 UTC
It's not meant to convey every single characteristic of said characters. It will undoubtedly annoy some folks, and I don't know some players (Chaqa) to give them a role. At least I didn't call anyone Samwell Tarley, but I could have!

I can see most of the comparisons lol,

Sam isn't that bad of a character at least his role in the 4th book was great. I haven't seen past season 2 of the series but am a huge fan of the books.

"Who would be King Joffrey? Jmo on Webdip?"

...*sigh*
RUFFHAUS 8 (2490 D)
22 Apr 14 UTC
As with Joffrey I refrained from casting anyone as a female character to avoid offending anyone - more than usual. Going with Renly and Loras was dangerous enough, but my comments focused on their overall character, rather than their sex lives.

Daenerys is a lame character anyway. I couldn't think of anyone here that gets led around by better players and gifted victories regularly. There are some cool females like Arya, Cersei, and Shae, but I erred on the side of caution in my assessments, and avoided casting them.
tassa (2177 D)
22 Apr 14 UTC
getting a real joffrey here will be rather difficult. dont you think someone as incompetent and unlikable would always be the first one to leave the stage, and therefore not worth mentioning
RUFFHAUS 8 (2490 D)
22 Apr 14 UTC
There are plenty of Joffrey's here!
Tomahaha (1170 D)

I have no problem with mine
Stubborn ...spot on
Not above a dastardly deed ...spot on
but "greedy" is far from truth, nor is the prefers not to fight

we have but one game here to compare my play to
My ally in Canada would certainly point to me not being greedy, nor would several others I am working with. I passed taking a center for turn after turn after turn simply because I had arranged no taking until I could help replace it. That isn't greedy at all. And prefers not to fight, yeah sometimes but I would not be among the game leaders without taking on my share of fights now would I? I was among the very first (of the leaders) to get attacked and I battled out of it quite nicely!

But I take no offense to anything said and overall enjoy it!
and I like the self realization, "too angry and impatient" I like that as well!

Scottish Independence - An historic act of bravery or madness?
So this time tomorrow we may have a new (old) country on that funny little island that sits of the coast of Europe. I'm interested to hear from people about what they think about this, and as it is yet to happen, what way you think they might vote...

The Lost Art of Reading Orders (feature request)
Because you need to click on a link to see the orders, I feel like players on this and other sites are not paying as close attention to the orders being issued. I know they're being shown graphically, but that can be ambiguous or hard to notice; reading the orders makes you notice things you might not have, like why something is failing or what another country is trying to do, or tell you (for gunboat games).

I'd suggest placing the latest set of orders just below the map.
