Yeah I got a lucky break getting into CNS without a challenger in year 1. That said I wasn't aware of some of the weird rules with it which really challenged my gameplay.
When Kaner and I get together to record the next podcast we'll discuss this variant.
And another hat tip to LovelyPinkEgg, we seem to be bumping into each other all the time ;-)
