03 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1999: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
05 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 1999: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Quebec replacing "James?". Reconsider your alliances.
10 Mar 21 UTC Spring, 2009: GameMaster: California voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
29 Mar 21 UTC Congrats everyone on a great game! Special shout out to Mexico for being an enduring ally - great job “communicating” for a gunboat game, and anticipating each others’ moves! And good work New York as a strong adversary and earning the Board Top!

One thing I couldn’t figure out: Mexico, why were you hesitant to attack California during the last few years? NY was still a long way from the solo (34 SCs), I think we could’ve culled Cali without giving NY too much of an opening
29 Mar 21 UTC It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed how we communicated moves, although I didn't catch on to looking at the failed orders list for a while.

I worried that if I took San Diego or Los Angeles then California would've disbanded their armies. Given no threat from the west, I figured New York would have moved on the north faster. I suspect we could have taken San Fran, Los Angeles, and San Diego but might have lost Washington and Oregon. I also hoped that based on California's move in Autumn, 2011, that they would send more of their fleets to fight New York in the North, I might have misread that move.

Admittedly, it's been a long time since I've played Diplomacy so it might have been a naive move.
29 Mar 21 UTC GG all! Always glad to sub in
29 Mar 21 UTC Good Game all
29 Mar 21 UTC With Columbia attacking me with all his forces and the time it took to defeat him, Peru and Mexico were at my doors... And I was blocked during the full game. NT defeated Quebec faster and I expected Peru or Mexico to release their pressure but it never came. Given Heartland refused to cooperate, I had nothing to do but wait to see how would get rid of me.

Among Mexico, NY and Peru, Mexico seemed the more loyal and less greedy. I played in such a way that I defended against Peru and NY and was offering him a situation in which he could take a max of Columbia, that way giving him an opportunity to solo. NY could not hold if he had decided to move North (and after that achieving me). [The loss of Anchorage was a mistake, as well as the terrible loss of Arizona sooner in the game.]

I expected NY and Peru would not take the risk to leave the whole cake to Mexico, or Mexico would be smart enough not to keep me in the game...
29 Mar 21 UTC *to keep me or not to get rid of me... :-)
29 Mar 21 UTC Gg all. Nice to see a 4 players draw.
29 Mar 21 UTC GG all, quite amazing team work between Peru and Mexico! No hard feelings Cali, both of them already had such a strong foothold/alliance, only could try expanding your direction.

And sorry to NY, tried to keep our alliance to stop Peru, but had to start going for your SCs once I knew there was no hope.
29 Mar 21 UTC Florida* not NY haha
29 Mar 21 UTC No problem. Thats the game.
I try only to not menace Cuba so he can had a chance against Peru, but he was defeated early than I though.
