Allow it sure, I said so myself in my second paragraph. However, your previous posts imply that you see it as a possible better place to discuss strategies and variant development. i simply pointed out that there's already a site for variant development, and that by promoting those discussions off vdip, you're promoting severing the discussion. Presumably, you're going to engage in those conversations on your site (if I'm wrong, please let me know), which means you're actively promoting severing the discussion about diplomacy. I get that you can't control what others post (well, technically you could if you're the admin right?), but if you yourself engage in those discussions, you're promoting it. Vdip is the common denominator here, we all have accounts here. So it follows that things that affect all of us (like strategy discussions) should happen here.
Again, by all means, create a forum for anyone who wants to go discuss anything you want, I'm not opposing that by any means. I simply don't think it should be vdip promoted or vdip sanctioned in any way if it implies that conversations about diplomacy are going to be happening there that could possibly have happened here instead. If we want to grow vdip and make it better (and I'm sure many people agree we could use some improvement), then those conversations need to happen here, where everyone can see it.
