By the way - given the pathetically low number of games around here available to join, this site is probably in *dire need* of an active forum to bring users to the site, so that people can actively recruit for games.

Which is not my attept to justify any particular behavior -- but I check into this site periodically, look at the available games, shrug and leave.

I'm familiar with many of the mods attitudes taht the forum is an optional bonus plan...and frankly, it's wrong thinking (imo). Believe it or not, lots of diplomacy players are rather intelligent, and like to engage in a little discussion on the side while they wait for turns to process - it creates momentum on a site, creates a community, etc....and from that comes games.

Perhaps I'm not aware of what the purpose of this site is....maybe it isn't intended to be a very active gaming community?

Regardless - I trust, Roco, that you will be visiting the other non-game threads and requesting they stop trolling...<not holding breath>

This forum is ok as it is.
It's not forbidden to post some discussions every now and than, but as most of the newcomers may have realized the vDip crowd is really different than the webdip crowd. Most of the regulars here are not interested in political discussions (that's why your thread do not gather much attention) and quite a lot of the regulars here have no clue about American politics too.

Also we are not used to name-calling here on the forums.

re: Anon games - you may notice I have a thread going to recruit some players for a game...i.e. with names. I like to know who I am playing, and find anon games are fraught with danger.....
