A refresher for those who have forgotten, or never knew:
The King is Dead is a special-rules game (SRG) which involves four different roles. There is a king (one player) who attempts to defeat the rebels against his rule, and the traitors in his midst. There are knights (who are loyal to the king), rebels (who are against the king), and traitor(s) (who are out for themselves, to become the new king).
The number of rebels is always equal to the number of knights + the king. So, if there are 3 knights, and the the king, there will be four rebels. There will be at least one traitor.
Victory Conditions
--------------------------------------------
King & his Knights: defeat all rebels and traitors
Rebels: defeat the king and the traitors (knights do not necessarily have to be dead)
Traitors: defeat everyone (including other traitors)
Additionally, in my version of King is Dead, all traitors will be informed of the true roles of all other players, including other traitors. Outside of the traitors, only the king's identity will be known to everyone. Rebels and knights (and traitors) must try to convince other players of their roles (or play them false, to make victory easier).
