Rating system favors draws

Rating system in vDip seems to have made some sort of "poker" out of Diplomacy. I have a suggestion: draws should only give half the points.

Closing a Game

Hi,
there is a game that has been paused for over a month and we can not unpause it, because there are users who are not online anymore.
It would be nice, if some adminstrator could close it and give the coins back to everyone.

Double save Italy – we need two(!) replacements due to bans in a so far so good Rinascimento game ... gameID=21663

it's ferrara in good position, and venezia in very good position ... the game is not spoiled due to the ban at all, so it's a good chance to jump in.

Replacement Request

Would anyone be interested in replacing Brazil in this WW4 game? gameID=20816
He was the top player when he disappeared and had all of South America. He got weakened a bit, but is still one of the main power players.

Bug in Cold War?

In the new Cold War 2-player variant, fleets can move between Yugoslavia and West Germany. Either fix this issue or label it as a canal (such as Egypt or Panama)

Jack‘s SRG Tourney

Gentleman, many people have had disputes in 2014 so what better way to start 2015 then with a SRG tourney! Each round will have special rules and/or different victory criteria. What better way to put one over the people you hate by earning bragging rights here!

Jack - from experience it is generally a good idea to clearly outline what particular rules you plan on using when recruiting for a SRG.

Many different ideas. Treaties game tag team game. one weird idea where only ine person can be attacked at one time. anyone else had suggestions are welcome to suggest

Jack - you have heaps of ideas, how about defining one of them and running with it? that would be much easier don't you think? Tournaments are fun, but there needs to be rules put into place that govern them. For me I would not like to be involved in a tournament (which is quite a major time commitment) if I didn't know in advance what the rules are that govern it.

ie.
Tag Team game - how does this work? What exactly is a tag team? who decides who is ''tagged'' ?
Only one attack at a time - Again how does this work? who decides? etc...

I'll play SRGS but not when the rules change at random as you go along. Pick a set and stick with it or publish a set with a schedule explaing when they change. It'd be like playing a poker tournament whereally each hand is declared to be Hold'em or Razz after the hand is already played...

But the core rules of survivor don't change every episode. Just the challenges do. What you present would be like Jeff coming in every episode and saying "this week, the losing team votes someone off the winning team" and then the next week he says "you must vote for someone of the opposite sex" and the next week "you have to vote for someone with the same first initial as your own."

Giantslaying tourney (aims to begin by jan)

Jan is my birthday month and what better way than to play. my favourite variant-- imperial diplomacy II! Looking for 6 pros (top 15%) and 6 not so pros to attempt some giant slaying(political puppets and the like). There will be one to three rounds depending on you guys.

past phases

is there a cache of all of the images of past phases? when i click the back button it combines the builds retreats and moves phase all into one. If there is not a way to get these, is it hard to do?
