Everyone has personal crisis to cope with, and I am sorry to hear that you lost your mother. But by your own admission that only accounted for three games. You've got six other abandonments on your sheet, mate. You have a lot of work to restore any claim to reliability as a player. As the above poster suggested, the path back is helped by taking over CD positions and playing them out. This selfless act helps the community avoid more ruined games, and is a pretty good method of atonement.

The site offers opportunities to hand off games that you can not play. Look for the game sitters thread in the forums for help. Or if you find yourself needing to be away again, ask for help. I will spell you in your games if you need a sitter.

Arguably, you aren't being penalized for a three game messup, but for nine games in total. That would be three times three. Pretty lousy record overall and you should be penalized for 9 CDs. You have quit more than 10% of the games you join. I certainly wouldn't want to play with you, outofbounds.
