Taking over should be free

I just discovered the it costs d-points to take over powers also with lousy positions. This should be free! And what about v-points. Do I loose elo ranking loosing in a game where I took over a bad position?

Napoleonic

Hey vdip! I completed a variant on the lab a while ago called napoleonic. The link is here, it is completely ready to go and I have contacted Oli a while ago about it but I assume he is busy and it hasn't been released. Can anyone help release it? I mean I didn't really know what the issue with that was or how to fix it, so that one is potentially not fixed. I didn't see any problems with the border connections so if there's an issue there it's beyond my capabilities :/

I tried to fix convoy Skaine-Koeningsberg - everything was written good but with no result.

I have since changed Skane to a one coast territory though so that may have fixed it?

FireHawk, yesterday I wanted to install the very new version of this variant on Diplomail. But in the VDip lab archive there was no install.php file with the territories and their connections of this map? Have you done this file? Please share.

Nice looking variant Firehawk, I really like the elimination of neutrals (and as you can probably guess, I'm a big fan of Crowded - Classic). One suggestion though, the full territory names are quite distracting, even with the nice type. I would think about going with traditional and smaller font-sized three-letter abbreviations everywhere.

What does it mean to vote for a "Draw" in a WTA game? Does it in practice mean the same as "Concede" if you are not the biggest power on the board?

Best variant for a series?

I will be starting a new series of games on one variant, similar to the WWII Gunboat Series. But I can't choose one variant. . . and I don't know what you all think about Gunboat/Public Press/All messages. Anybody want to comment?

not fair

If have messenger in game OK everything will be perfect , but some player to make alliance before game.....no thank you .

Hi all. When I click the little "arrow sign" to get a map without move arows the units turn into texts instead of pictures. Is is possible to get no arrows but still unit pictures?

Reliability Question

In general, I love the idea of the reliability score, and how it helps to keep games from being ruined by sore losers/less-committed players.

However, I think the formula may need a tweak as it is unintentionally punishing long-time players (like myself).

Mod-paused games

Hey Mods, could you please tell us, when pausing a game, why you are pausing that game, and for how long. For example, I am in a game called NMS war. It has been paused be you, mods, for more than a week with no explanation and no end in sight. When you send the message to a game that you are pausing it, could you include why, and for how long? SC Diagramme

Dear Sirs!
If somebody noticed in WebDiplomacy scripts package we got script called Graph. I tried to finish it but I can't cope with all this and it does not work correctly. I do not understand what are the percentages painted in gray color? Someone is working on this? I've added on my site. You can take a look here:

Can't find my own game in search

I created a game (United States of Africa) but no matter the search settings I use, I can't find it by searching games or looking through new games. The only way to get to it is through the home page. Is that normal?
