27 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Alliance anyone? Athens and Rhodes can we come to an understanding on the SCs between us? |
27 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Hello all. I've no particular quarrel with any of you, and i'm open to working together with anyone. Drop me a line. In particular Persia and Macedonia, we should talk, but really everyone; part of what makes this variant so interesting is we can all effect eachother so much, especially with the opening bids. |
27 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Speaking of which i just want to announce, unless something happens between now and then, I'm going to be be bidding two each on Illium and Thassos, so i'll a) take bidding on them without discussing it with me as an act of aggression and b) would appreciate not starting off the game with an enemy |
27 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Byzantium, that's fine with me, and I'd like to be the first to extend an offer of alliance. We can easily minimize our border and expand outwards, rather than waste our energies. |
27 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: that sounds wonderful to me |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Byzantium, I would like to extend a friendly hand from across te map, should we meet up hopefully we can cooperate :) Persia, if you are to e working with Byzantium, that likely makes me a target of yours, however it doesn't mean we have to fight. I would like Halicarnassus and Miletus if you are not opposed o it, otherwise we should discuss it further. To all others, I have an open mind and would love to discuss any and all options :) |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Hello my fellow greeks and turks Byzantium I would like to extend my hand to an alliance |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: There is room for love of all in the heart of the people of fair Constantinople. I'm happy to have friendship with both of you |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: So Athens, nothing? Without an alliance between us I figured we'd both be run over by the growing eastern power.... Rhodes want to work something out over the islands between us? Macedonia I have no interest in moving north, unless we can work together... |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Sparta, if Athens refuses to grace us with their renowned demagoguery maybe yolu'd like help working to unite the Peloponnese? |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: you'd* |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Sparta, would love to reach understanding as we are close neighbours, hopefully friends. |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Apologies for my tardy reply, good fortune one and all, there seems to me plenty of room for expansion before coming to blows for everyone. |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: I very much value corinth and as we both have significant frontage to the seas east and south it would give me great comfort to have a secure backyard :) |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: I was going to grab Miletus myself, but you're welcome to try to outbid me. |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Hey Byz, despite your gentle attempts to fan the flames of discontent between my neighbour and me I shall keep to your rule b) - I have no quarrel with you :) and your rule a) - we have very little money in our coffers and surely could not afford the property prices up north... In fact, our finance minister in athens barely had enough dinari to pay the phone bill and it wasn't until we got rid of some old statues that were lying around gathering dust and cracks that I was able to start sending out messages again! |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Good day to you too Macedonia, we greeks ought to stick together in these times of economic crisis, don't you think? |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Hi Persia and Rhodes - both keen on prime real estate with picturesque beach frontage in Miletus? Maybe you both could come to an arrangement, have you ever considered a timeshare? |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Athens: You can have Corinth. You can also take Argos with a fleet if you let me have Melos, and we can dmz Panon, Achaia and Gulf of Salamis. |
28 Apr 13 UTC | Bidding: Sparta, I completely agree with your plan for our alliance - melos is yours and the dmz makes good sense and good business for us. Macedonia, can we lay some plans down with you, would like to invite you into this cooperative :) |
