It worked! I never saw a single English unit all game, but I assumed he must still hold Scotland or Scandinavia (although he obviously wasn't doing well enough to prevent you sending multiple fleets into the Med).
Russia, good game. You and Turkey together had me pulling my hair out a lot of times.
