28 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1901: Man, that Cal Poly thing was early this morning! It was pretty overwheling as well, making the move from 5th to 8th. We started taking apart the standards like we did at that Saturday training. I was totally lost with the 8th grade standards. I feel like a brand new teacher!

28 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1901: Oops. Sent that twice
28 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1901: Yeah, it was pretty intense. I enjoyed it though. I imagine the middle school math is in a different league
29 Jul 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: All about Ratios and Proportions for the general parts. When we break into 8th grade to unwrap the standards, its linear equations. No base 5 counting yet!
29 Jul 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: It was really to deepen our understanding of place value. Maybe you guys won't touch it.
30 Jul 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I've done other number base counting in the past. 5 is good, but other bases like 3 or 7 were very difficult. We've been jumping around a lot each day. We hit the same topics each day, but it doesn't seem that we are getting in depth enough.
30 Jul 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Yeah, we did the same thing, just dug deeper into the topics in our binders through the week. Hey, those cards they give you to buy lunch with are pretty cool. I used the left over money to buy myself a blue tooth speaker from the bookstore.
31 Jul 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Nice! I bought some Cal Poly t-shirts.
I told Scott that my brain was full today. There isn't room for anything else. I'd love it if we spent tomorrow on curriculum design and practicing more with model drawing.
31 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1903: I have a feeling Scott would have been better served by attending last weeks session.
01 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1903: He got a lot out of the model drawing that we did this week. That was one of our big concepts.
01 Aug 15 UTC I predict I win this turn
02 Aug 15 UTC Well done! There's so much to think about when you're plotting moves. I thought I was doing better, but 21-10 is pretty sad.
