02 Mar 16 UTC | Autumn, 1863: Having played this variant several dozen times, I can honestly say that our matches are wildly different than any I have seen before! |
02 Mar 16 UTC | Autumn, 1863: This one seems to be playing out at least somewhat in line with my previous experiences, but the other one is definitely quite weird. |
05 Mar 16 UTC | GameMaster: Confederacy voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat. |
05 Mar 16 UTC | GG - messed up that last move, but I think you had me for the last few phases. |
06 Mar 16 UTC | gg. I was honestly thinking I was in trouble near the end there - you were catching me in units, you always had centres to build on while I was struggling to clear them out, and your land positioning was pretty much flat better than mine. I suppose it points to one of the reasons I really like this map - you're in so close to each other, right from the start, that if a game is mostly balanced you always think the other player has the edge. |
06 Mar 16 UTC | Ya, it was getting close for sure. Then this spring, I mis-clicked and didn't take kingston. Then I botched minnesota this autumn. I suppose I could have tried to stay in and fight, but would have been an unlikely win against a formidable opponent! GG - happy to play 1v1 whenever you like, outside of the tournament. Just PM. |
06 Mar 16 UTC | Ah yeah, misclicks are always annoying. Trying to cut down on my number of games at the moment, other than the tourney ones - signed up for a few too many, then got a proper job so I've a lot less time on my hands. Definitely adding you to the list of "people fun to 1v1" for when I've more time spare, though :D |
06 Mar 16 UTC | Sounds good! |
