12 Feb 17 UTC Spring, 1570: Captainmeme (Moderator): And this one's good to go!

If I've messed up and set you as the same country twice, please let me know ASAP.

Also, any orders that were set in any of these games have been set back to holds.
08 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1582: GameMaster: Hojo voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
10 Apr 17 UTC Well done, Mapu. Great job countering in both directions.
10 Apr 17 UTC Nice work, Mapu. We attempted to rally, but just could not get it coordinated.
10 Apr 17 UTC by 1575 there was clear danger that Oda was going to roll, and no one wanted to do anything about it. Asakura always seems to be the first to fall. I was disgusted with the selfish play in the corners. I understand that Takeda/Uesugi and Shimazu/Mori is always a scrap, but all four of you just completely ignored Oda. I knew I was dead, so I went agent provocateur and managed to convince Uesugi to face him. I feel bad about weakening Mori, but felt that a strong Shimazu was the only hope to stop Oda. Doc gave Bozo a hell of a fight, which in a vacuum was textbook stuff. It's too bad you guy ignored the rest of the map.
10 Apr 17 UTC I do not believe I attacked Mori a single time the entire game, and I tried to make clear my intention to maintain peace when I supported Nagato while moving out of Suo Sea in Autumn of 1573. Mori had other plans, which was his prerogative.
10 Apr 17 UTC Thanks, I guess I misread the scenario there. I will go back and have another look. In any case, no one was willing to move on Oda at all. Even one or two units invested by anyone in 1575 might have prevented a solo. I know it sound hysterical to cry solo five years into a game, but this is the third Oda solo we've seen, and we nearly saw a couple more.
10 Apr 17 UTC At least this one wasn't because someone ignored the signals and forced another player to suicide and give up the solo. We tried at the end.
10 Apr 17 UTC Well deserved victory
10 Apr 17 UTC Good games all and nice solo Mapu.

YCHTT, yeah, we were just a few turns late and a couple units short to really have a chance at stopping him.
10 Apr 17 UTC Even if we had stopped his momentum in the North, he had the south won. It would have just delayed the inevitable. That's why I tried a couple risky things. Mapu is just that good. :-)
10 Apr 17 UTC Agreed, the last few years were somewhat inevitable. I had hoped that Uesugi and Hojo could coordinate a capture of Kai that might have led to more, or forced Oda to pull off Shimazu. Too little too late.

Fun games overall. Intensely frustrating at time, but a good experience as unrated.
10 Apr 17 UTC I attribute the good experience to the skill of the players involved. When trip and I are near the bottom of the list, vPoint wise, you know you have some talented players.
10 Apr 17 UTC Thank you all. Obviously, I enjoyed this game a great deal. I do think Oda is OP but I was fortunate the way some of the things broke early on that I was able to grow quickly. Hojo was a very tough nut to crack (and I ignored him for a long time because of this). Uesugi made some really nice moves mid to late game (until the last few turns of course) and I thought he might be bozo because the moves were so slick. I didn't wipe out Asakura in the last turn as an homage to the help he gave me when he was trying to get the other guys going against me. Shimazu was putting up a nice battle around the Tosa area for what seemed like a long time. I used the technique I think RUFF used in the other game of getting behind the defense and made what I thought was a cool move in Spring 1581 by supporting Shimazu's self-bounce in Hizen and backing into Bungo.

Anyway, thanks again to all of you. It was fun but it gets hard to analyze all of the moves and orders toward the end so I'm glad it's over.
