Autumn, 2000: GameMaster: Germany voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.

Could have been a draw, but I guess Britain preferred to get more points in a survive - I can respect that.
What I can't respect is Spain's awful mid-game play, grabbing territory and playing defense against me and Britain when if he'd instead worked in concert with me and Britain we could have stopped Italy in his tracks and even pushed him back in the Med - totally blown opportunity there, and he came off worse for it in the end.

Congrats to italy. Good game. My mistake at kiev. Sorry, france. I wanted to support some defense....and had in mind to try a solo at myself. Unfortunatly That was the point for italy to win

My "Awful midgame play" was me trying to not be destroyed by all the bigger powers. Unless you were referring to my support of England into the Western Med that eventually cost you Morocco? That was indeed a blunder.

You (Spain) repeatedly defended against me or England on moves that let Italy establish himself where we could have been pushing him back. That pretty much sealed our fate. By the time you felt you had everything protected, Italy had an unstoppable offensive in place.

You'll notice neither Britain or I attacked you on those moves - you repeated insecurity was a blunder - short term thinking only there. I'd rather be defeated than give up the opportunity for a better long-term outcome than a few piddly SCs.
