09 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1948: GameMaster: Britain voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
24 Aug 17 UTC Thanks for the interesting game guys. Strider, I was surprised that you kept attacking Utom and Geronimo for so long. That meant Utom was forced to disband stuff in Palestine that was forting up with Geronimo's co-operation and also meant I could crack open the mouth of the Med AND ensured Geronimo would never trust you! Thanks for the win, but you haven't made many friends!

As a footnote, my poor old eyesight got challenged by those Med convoys - asking my guys from Tripoli via Libyan Sea to run across Crete to make the convoy to Istanbul in the Aegean on the same move proved a spectacular failure ....
24 Aug 17 UTC Yep .. thanks all. Enjoyed it.
24 Aug 17 UTC You can say that Chumbles and fair enough but neither had the forces to stop you. That was before I attacked everyone! With one way to communicate such newances. I thought better to speed up.

Russia with only one fleet would never hold you off from the black sea and many vunerable centers.

Britain had two flaws in his defence agaist you. In France he had not enough armies and Gibraltar not enough fleets.

So yeah I'm the bad guy i can live with that. Think it was lost about 43-44
24 Aug 17 UTC Go back to 43.

Italy clearly in the lead and when Russia and England still don't have enough defence to stop italy from the south. That was when I'm just trying to keep my ground. Neither likely to get more sc's from then on to fix that problem.

Maybe even before that but that was when i noticed serious gaps. I'm sure you saw them before i did. Well played and deserved solo.
24 Aug 17 UTC Fair enough - we all play the gunboat game in silence and perhaps my view is wrong. I reckon Britain's toughest to play - a 3 area country makes it a nightmare which to defend or build up...
25 Aug 17 UTC I agree with Italy's game assessment. We could of held him to a 4 way draw.
If Germany had looked at the big picture he would have seen that Britain & I understood the position in the Arab part of this map & jointly we would have held him.
Germany never let up on prodding & probing me which through the loss of centers & forced disbandments gave the game to Italy.
On several occassions I thought that Germany finally understood what was need, but no, he kept up the relentless persuit of single gains against me, which destroyed any hope of preventing an Italian outright victory.
Congratulations to Italy for a well played & competant victory & thanks to all for an enjoyable but somewhat frustrating game.
25 Aug 17 UTC Russia how did you expect to keep italy out of the black sea and force a draw?
With one fleet. Explain how and I'll belive you had a chance.

I'm sure you know that Aegean goes directly to black sea or Constantinople. So you need at least 2 fleets. When you built your 3rd fleet north to attack me. You lost the game.
25 Aug 17 UTC Tut, tut... and I'm sure that the Aegean goes directly to Istanbul - NOT the Black Sea...

26 Aug 17 UTC Congrats, Italy.
