30 Jul 17 UTC | 1555: (Vauban): You're playing England again?! What a surprise! I never expected it! I couldn't anyway: Nobody expects the English inquisition! |

30 Jul 17 UTC | 1555: (TheWorldCouldBeSoDifferent): Well we never got to play the last one, also given the choice I usually pick English. Back in the time this was set we were a world power, a nation to be proud of. That was true all the way until recently. My generation is truly pathetic, sad times |
31 Jul 17 UTC | 1555: (Vauban): I have the exact same feeling with France. I hate being in France and I hate French people generally. They are so mean and dumb. I can't stand them anymore. France also used to be a world power for centuries and centuries along with England/ UK. But ever since WWII, when we, UK and France, lost our colonies to Japan and the axis power, everything started to crumble down. After the war, the colonies declared their independence and it was it. And the fatal blow to us was the Suez Crisis. That was the end. If only we would have taken down Nasser, at that time perhaps France and the UK would still be regarded an important nation. |
31 Jul 17 UTC | 1555: (Vauban): I regret that France isn't a superpower anymore. I miss Louis XIV :-( |
31 Jul 17 UTC | 1555: (TheWorldCouldBeSoDifferent): Haha, I guess we're not the only ex-power to be collapsing. Our main issue these days is everyone is offended by everything, so much so that if you offend someone you can be fined. A good comedian recently picked up on it and said "these days everyone is offended. So you're offended, who cares? What offends you may not offend me. How can you make a law about something so changeable? It's ridiculous. I'm offended by boybands for god sake." *pretends to dial phone* "Hello officer. Yes they're back again. They're on the TV this time". All that with an Aussie accent and a bit more was pretty funny. But it really is ridiculous |
