11 Feb 18 UTC	Autumn, 1860: okay so my first attempt didn't work. the app i download only sends notifications if it's RUNNING... which is pointless. BUT if you like automation, I was directed to an app called IFTTT "if this then that" which lets you automate actions on your phone. it looks AWESOME. it has the ability to do things like "send a groupme message if it starts raining" and the like. so I'm trying that now.

12 Feb 18 UTC	Autumn, 1866: Yeah... they all came through at 11:13am. during the church service. Fortunately I had everything turned onto silent. But it was a pretty hilarious trying to sort through it all afterwards
