22 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: England voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
26 Feb 21 UTC Mod-Team: We have so much material for the next episode sans interview.
26 Feb 21 UTC Mod-Team: Oops shit. Scratch that.
26 Feb 21 UTC Good game everyone,

Italy, why throw the game to Turkey?
26 Feb 21 UTC Yeah, that Norwegian unit basically sealed it for Turkey with those two pokes of Norway on consecutive turns. Ugh. Only reason I can think of is to stick around for the survival I guess.

Between that and my loss of Silesian army in the spring... that was that. Had submitted different orders in Spring and not gotten poked by Italy, we would have at least made it another year.
26 Feb 21 UTC nice one anyway, I had forgotten about this one having been eliminated so long ago ...
26 Feb 21 UTC @France:

Sometimes I got no logical reasons. Out of a mood it was funny for me to destroy the game of England (sorry!). I was hoping Turkey appreciated how important my fleeds were. I think he appreciated it but it was too easy and tempting.

At the end I attacked Norway to survive.

Good game and sorry sometimes I am playing unlogical. I am not playing allways for my own benefit.
26 Feb 21 UTC I'm glad you cleared that up Italy, I certainly would have been facing a more up hill battle had you disbanded fleets and not your armies, I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what you had against England that caused you to go all out in such a scucidal way.

For a while I was considering not attacking you as a loyal ally in a gunboat is a rare thing, but in the end I'm practising channelling my inner Chalhammer (who was an irascible dot grabber) so I decided to go for it and see what I could get out of the stab. My only regret is not actually attacking St. Pete in the previous Autumn. I had that saved, but changed them at the last minute to support Sevastopol into Moscow.

Thanks for the game everyone, that was Amby posting before game end, likely this game will be spoken about during our next podcast, if there is anything any of you would like to add I'll be happy to share your thoughts.
26 Feb 21 UTC I'm less than a year into Diplomacy... What podcast is that?

26 Feb 21 UTC This game was interesting for me in the sense that I got forced into a lock without noone intending to do that. The fleet build at Con in 1899 made me feel like a move into Armenia was necessary to not lose initiative. That feeling turned out to be right as Turkey moved against me. It was a losing hand and the only way to not lose was locking Turkish fleets in place and hope that Italy would see that weakness and attack Turkey. Then he didn't and the move to Syria ended in complete disaster. I would have been better without it. But I would still lose, so no change in outcome.

Also, I think England did a bad move by attacking me. It was already clear that I was barely scraping by. It was also clear that I wouldn't just let him take Moscow just because he kept moving into it. He made my downfall come a lot faster, which gained him nothing but a more powerful foe to the south.
26 Feb 21 UTC Good game everyone, and congratulations to you, Turkey
26 Feb 21 UTC Also, it's cool that this game will be on a podcast episode :P I will listen
26 Feb 21 UTC I want to complete some thoughts of mine.

I realized fast that a friendly outcome with Austria is not possible.
I am allways searching for allies in such games and saw that Turkey is under pressure by Russia and that Turkey is a possible allie. I was pleased about the supp from Turkey to Trieste and thought I found my allie. And if I think I found my allie I allways try to help them and I never break alliances any more.
Turkey was building so many armys that I was hoping for a deal that I built the fleets and Turkey the armys. Turkey did that well. I was deceived by hope ;)

It would be much easier and effictive for me to attack France and i knew that. But I want to fight the strong England. By passing my fleets the Mid Atlantic Ocean and getting just a fought over Liverpool I want to show what a good allie I am and that was a hint for Turkey that i accepted his victory even if he needs later (!) some SC of mine.
But Turkey could not know this at all.

After the stab I decided to help a bit France by cutting the support of Holland.

Good game and follow me at instagram ^^
27 Feb 21 UTC If you need a second place interview let me know lol
