06 Aug 21 UTC | Autumn, 1978: gopher27 (Moderator): Greetings all, A player in this game is having some real life issues and is needing to be defaulted out of all of his games. I have extended this turn by 2 days to allow for a replacement player to be found. If more time is needed, let me know. There are now a handful of games seeking an additional player. 06 Aug 21 UTC | Autumn, 1978: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Queensland replacing "Bullfrog". Reconsider your alliances. |
11 Aug 21 UTC | Autumn, 1979: GameMaster: New Zealand voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
30 Aug 21 UTC | GG - that went on for a while... Incredible comeback for New South Wales. Very sorry South Australia for ignoring your clear wish for alliance, the take of Alice Springs initially was accidental as I was trying to bounce Queensland there but I imagine that's little consolation. Tricksy map. |
30 Aug 21 UTC | I should have done better with a corner spot. Out played by west Australia every move. Didn’t follow the end after elimination, surprised to see Queensland out, assume every turned on him as leader |
30 Aug 21 UTC | good times, thanks to WA and NSW for keeping me in the draw! |
30 Aug 21 UTC | @Tasmania I was never going to kill you unless I thought I could solo. Every player on the board except Tasmania and Indonesia went against me at various points in the game. So though we really didn't do much as allies, I was determined to reward you for it. I was trying to prod near the end to see how much of queensland I could get; had I got ~20 centers I'd have gone for the solo. All in all, good game. |
30 Aug 21 UTC | GG Good game, I think some factions need a fast start and Queensland had ended my challenge pretty much by two years in. Fun map |
30 Aug 21 UTC | I took over what seemed like a strong position but immediately struggled to plug all the leaks behind my back line. By the time I managed to get rid of Indonesian fleets in the Pacific, NSW was up in my guts. I tried to make peace with Western Australia but of course there was no incentive for him to stop attacking when I was such an easy target. Good game all! |
