05 Jul 22 UTC Spring, 1960: Let's play this again.
11 Jul 22 UTC Autumn, 1965: You are giving me a hard time this turn. So many guesses.
11 Jul 22 UTC Autumn, 1965: ur winning tho. i detest USSR
11 Jul 22 UTC Autumn, 1965: ur winning tho. i detest USSR
11 Jul 22 UTC GameMaster: USSR voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Concede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
11 Jul 22 UTC gg
11 Jul 22 UTC It was a fun game. Some guessing games but most of the time I think my choice was the correct one not just because it turned out to be the good guess but because it was following a strategy.
11 Jul 22 UTC thats what Nato is all about. u made moves that made sense, tho i did prolong this game much longer than i expected
11 Jul 22 UTC but it was pretty much over in '63
11 Jul 22 UTC I personally prefer to play as USSR and I think I even have a higher win rate as it, tho I haven't counted.
11 Jul 22 UTC ah we're the opposite. NATO is a much easier side for me to pilot, and my losses as USSR are doubled when opposed to NATO
11 Jul 22 UTC I think in the American map Union is a bit like NATO and Confederacy like USSR, but the difference is not as strong. Confederacy/USSR has all troops stuck together and Union/NATO spread out. I once lost a game on the American map where the opponent placed fleets into the great lakes, it totally changed the dynamics but is hard to pull off.
11 Jul 22 UTC the main difference is that Cold War is a much smaller map, and greater overall mobility is a huge advantage. USSR has to slowly branch out without letting any troops leak into their system, which is too easy to do with Istanbul threatening Ukraine and Japan alone is a great post. Confederacy benefits from massive consolidations, while NATO thrives in organized chaos
11 Jul 22 UTC Yes. Sometimes on cold war I am surprised by an unit moving from one side of the world to another. There is a guy who loves to move to Norwegian as NATO in the first move and then to Arctic to convoy to Urals from Alaska. But from time to time he also goes to Leningrad so one has to defend. I hate this Norwegian opening. I also don't like the India bounce opening as then with only three builds it's annoying to decide where to build.
