16 Sep 22 UTC Autumn, 1911: GameMaster: Austria voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
18 Sep 22 UTC Thanks for a nice game gang. Once we got our act together England made it smooth sailing for us. I thought Italy was doing fine when all of a sudden his units started disappearing. That made me hurry to get into the Med.
18 Sep 22 UTC Nice playing guys! Congratulations to England for extremely strong play, Austria for making it to the draw despite Russia taking Galicia immediately, and France for a strong recover after losing most of your home centers. Russia-- I'm sorry our alliance didn't pan out. The game, especially early one, was quite fun!

I think my crucial mistake was not committing against England or Russia in Spring 1902-- by biding my time, I ended up allowing England into both Skagerrak and North Sea while Russia did not attack Norway, and was not positioned to support me. If I had gone ahead and taken Sweden, or blocked England out of North Sea, I would have had a much stronger position. I was just hopeful that the London fleet might move to English Channel, although looking back England made the correct set of moves based on the situation and I should have predicted them.

Although the real nail in the coffin was the truly unhinged attack on me by Italy. I highly recommend that nobody ever do something like that again-- Italy's anti-German campaign caused both of our deaths rather quickly.
18 Sep 22 UTC Oh yes. I forgot about that early German blitz. I tried an early Italian attack but nearly got wiped out before I could launch it. Had to go back home as best I could. Thank you to Italy for forgiving me. I was ready to be your ally the rest of the way, but you disappeared. I tried to make peace with Germany a couple of times, but he kept coming back as I started to pull away. Thanks to England for pressuring Germany in the end.
18 Sep 22 UTC Oh yeah, I did my best to take you out-- I always play anti-French in gunboat because I think France is unequivocally the strongest power. I just wasn't able to convince anyone to join in the fight, not even Italy, who was previously being attacked by France.
18 Sep 22 UTC Good game all. Very nice unity by England and France those last few years. If you guys had not been so tight (or if I would not have struggled to finish off Russia and Turkey like I did)... Man, I really thought I was headed towards a solo there for a bit.
19 Sep 22 UTC Good game, I tried really hard to defend but even Turkey can't survive being ganged up on like that. I definitely understand Russia's desire to try to take me out, as Turkey benefits from a corner position, but ultimately you doomed us both as you doubled down on trying to take Anatolia even after losing Moscow. Very well played Austria, it's challenging to get the upper hand on both Russia and Turkey, especially in gunboat

Well played esp by Austria, against the statistics!
