15 Sep 23 UTC Gg! Was trying to make peace at the end there after my predecessor left, Majapahit, though it may have been too late anyway….
15 Sep 23 UTC GG, unfortunate that Majapahit didn't work with Ayut indeed, was the only way to not lose at that point. I should have attacked earlier to make him wake up, idk..
15 Sep 23 UTC Gg all. I obviously inherited an amazing position from GOD (literally) which is quite uncommon given they are so active on this site. I don't think a solo was inevitable though for me since the sea was locked down and my only option was picking up a a few more centers from Ayuthaya and Majapahit. I think I could have been stopped if a defense was organized. But that is the hardest part about gunboat, the organization of a defense between two nations without written communication.
15 Sep 23 UTC Congrats on the win! I was hoping to survive to the end, alas...
15 Sep 23 UTC Thanks and my apologies. Wasn't exactly sure how things were going to play out in the east. I don't like to take people out unnecessarily.
15 Sep 23 UTC Stopping an impending solo in gunboat seems to be neigh on impossible. When there is a clear 2-2 alliance in gunboat, it seems draws can be had. But when one player is starting to really pick up steam, and there needs to be an alliance to stop them, it is very difficult to get that coordination in gunboat.
15 Sep 23 UTC But at the same time, its a WTA. When you see a someone needing 5 SC and 4 of them are going to get taken within a year, you need to stop whatever you're doing to stop the solo. So when Ayut left the front against Majapahit, you'd think Majapahit would have realise he'd lose if he didn't defend against Rajput... but I guess not
