I'd say my win/draw of 91% is pretty good. Although I do need to work on finishing the game out.

Well, I have only completed three games here. One win (Norway on the crowded map for the win!), one draw (early Pirates game which had too many issues to deal with so we drew but I got lucky we did or it would probably be a defeat), one survive (took over a PPSC gunboat where I took a nearly dead position to 6 SCs and doubled my investment).

That "Concede-makes-you-take-a-Defeat" thing REALLY wiped out my awesome Defeats numbers. *sigh* I think I had 2 prior to implementation.

I don't like that conceed gives all the points to the winner even in PPSC. It shoudl be a survive, not a defeat, and in PPSC the winner should get one SC more than half and the rest get divided like a draw on the remainder or even with a proper PPSC distribution for the remaining points.

I'm going to repost the last two comments on the thread: "Concede button has huge influence on diplomacy!"

I don't think my win rate of 55% is that bad, though it does include several 1 v 1s. I am quite proud of two of my wins, one of which is the first Holland solo on Colonial Diplomacy, and the other is where I took over a 3 unit Tansania and soloed (it was early in the game. Nothing like the Czech taking over a 1 SC England and soloing).

My defeats are in an gunboat game I am bitter about and a very clean win by Draug on Chaos. Survives are in a 1 v 1 where I was outclassed and a very good 1066 game with fasces and shep.

But hopefully in the next few weeks you'll see my W/D ratio climb up. I have some promising games in the pipeline

Nope, i just love to play 1v1s so there the winning is easier. So YouCan'tHandleTheTruth your wins are far much better than mine. i.e. You are better,your stats are better.

@Eden. Yes Youo concede too much in recent games..I think you conceded many times with gobledydook and santosh..

Baah, I don't care about my win-draw stats or my defeat-survive stats... If I had fun, I don't care if I died. If I won the game but didn't enjoy it, then I don't consider it a win personally. that's how it has always been for me, thats how it always will be.

Yes, You are right but stats are real motivation for me atleast. It may be nothing to me but its something.. :D

oh I don't deny stats are nice, especially with yours or PE's, but they aren't "important" to me.

Stats are important, but Oli needs to remove 1v1 from them. Of course people who play 1v1 a lot won't like it but come on! 1v1 is purely fun not a game of diplomacy!

People who don't want 1v1s included in stats are the same who suck at 1v1s :P

I am with Rancher. Games stats "rate" your diplomatic skills. 1vs1 stats rate your... chess skills

Or the ones who don't *play* 1v1s. I agree 1v1s should be removed. What is the point of 1V1 anyhow? This is diplomacy. It's one thing to let your actions speak instead of your words (gunboat), but there isn't even that in the purely tactical and strategic variant of 1v1. You have no allies and you only have 1 enemy. Stupid variant if ever there was one. Not diplomacy at all.
