how can it be a "world Cup" on one site only? By nature, it's simply a VDip cup or a variant cup but WORLD cup? Who's fooling who?

If I am correct, the premise of the "World" aspect is creating teams that compete based on their regional areas of residence throughout the world.

Webdip has a tourney like this too, also called a World Cup. Agreed that a true world cup would include players from multiple 'leagues' representing their nationality, however this is named the Variant Diplomacy World Cup which indicates its site sponsored tourney not an officially recognized cross community truly 'World' cup.

Does someone have a list of completed games and an updated score between teams? It may influence how some of the games going on are played out.

Anyone have an updated score sheet with what games have finished?

Also, in order for a team to achieve a solo on a map, is it possible for two players to have the required number of centers for a solo combined? That way both players are included in a draw but the team is awarded the points for a solo? Or does a single player have to win outright for the solo to count?

Unfortunately Fasces has left the site - someone else will need to take over this and count up the scores if it's to continue.

If you were willing to take over for fasces, that would be greatly appreciated. As far as I know, most games have started/finished except for some 1v1s.

As everyone who's still in the tournament should know, there has recently been discussion in the Known World game about NMRs, CDs, and a general lack of interest in this tournament. Since the first round ended, at least three, if not more, participants have left the site, and this round's games have been riddled with NMRs and CDs. Is anyone actually still interested in playing out such a low-quality tournament? (This is in no way a slight at fasces; I appreciate what he did for the tournament and I think his leaving is a large reason that the tournament has fallen apart).

I know many other people feel the same way, and it would be nice for people to voice their opinions in this forum so that we can reach a consensus on the future status of the tournament.

As much fun as it would be to finish, I don't think the quality of all the games as been up to par. Other than the 1v1s, I haven't played in a game that didn't have multiple NMRs thus far which really cripples the quality and validity of the tournament.

Unless the final round is decided by a number of smaller games, it's unlikely to finish it. By doing so, we'd lose the point behind it. I'm willing to finish it, but it seems unlikely to happen.
