If it is decided that we are going to play the other two games, I'll obviously suggest that we play them both at the same time. Spartan - is there much chance we could ready up sooner too?

Love the move to tyrolia. Gives a slight advantage in units to Austria, but it counteracts that by having a "man behind enemy lines". If you would have mad dashed to Russia, I think that would have ended the game a bit sooner for France. Good work to Austria on getting rid of that pesky french army. Its just too bad it took a little too long. Well played on both sides though. Liked this one.

Same thing with the tyrolia move. He blocked you but it was a good thought. It was good that Austria took as much of germany as possible. I think the piece that kicked it France's way was that he got into Italy. Italy is a must for Austria in this battle, preferably by fleets. Props to France here.

As i am in class and have a fair amount of work to do tonight, I will give my final decision in the morning.

Any word on Battalion and I?

After consideration, I think I will rule in favor of Battalion moving through to the next round. Though you had more centers in both of your losses vs his losses, I think his France Victory was the turning point, in him causing so much trouble with a single unit.

So with that said, I'll return us to the mistake I made earlier and announce Round 2:

With a very special honorable mention to Spartan for well fought games. And I believe that merits my original invitation. So at your leisure, Spartan, set those games up with me, same rules/maps/etc.

I'm also considering a second bracket that will start after the first is over and done with. I'm taking ideas for maps and victory conditions, etc. Bring your A game!

I can honestly say that I was not expecting that at all. I felt that Spartan outplayed me most of the time (for example he made me work a lot harder for a German win than I did him). I also have to admit that my French move to Tyrolia was inspired by him (bear in mind that I played as French after he did, not simultaneously) and I was just fortunate to cause more problems with it than he did. Thanks for some good games, Spartan, I learned a lot!

Always a pleasure Battalion, I'm always up for another 1v1 with you! And I will definitely take up the offer to play you, Ima, so ill set up those games whenever I get a chance.

Be thinking of how we can improve it as well. I'm working on a new scoring system that will use more of a cold hard facts of the game method with possibility for a little Ima "fudge factor". Things like centers at the time of the loss and what not. When I get that settled, I'll start advertising the second bracket.
