Caesar - Clamato Juice, Worcestershire Sauce, Tabasco Sauce, Vodka, etc. (you can include any kind of spicy such as horseradish. add vegetables. Need some celery Salt for the rim). Try with gin instead for a better version.

Better celebrate your birthday on a few nights then, as mixing liquor produces one of the worst hangovers. You might consider picking three of these and drinking a couple of one of them. Also, be sure to drink one tall glass of water for every drink, as that will also help you afterward -- greatly.

It's a very nice Amber but flowed over a bed of hops, it takes on the hoppiness of an IPA while keeping the richer amber body. Yummmmmmm

So I showed my list of drinks to the bartender and he made em all for me right on the spot. As for what I drank here was the list I gave him:

1. Chopin Kamikaze - G-man (they didn't have the sugar cane)

2. a shot of Talisker- Amwidkle

3. a shot of fireball- Tomahaha

4. Port (non-specified) - bluecthulhu

5. Jameson and coke - fauxlosophe

6. shot of russian standard (vodka replacement since they didn't have Zubrowka or Chopin) - out of bounds

7. Whiskey Sour - Kikker82

8. Caesar-gin version (probably my favorite) -Jimbozig


I narrowed this from 11 due to all of the...lack of sensation I was having in my face....When it comes down to it I had a good time.

Also, my brother advised me on Thursday (same night) that he was going to propose to his girlfriend in San Francisco. I being in Washington, bought tickets way over-priced and also celebrated my birthday there.

Turns out my brother is now engaged...so that is why I've been pretty quiet around here. it's been a busy (and celebratory) weekend.

Nah, you can find Clamato at most supermarkets here in the US, at least in NY anyway.

I didn't want to add to this to your list, because frankly it does just fine on its own... but if you are looking for a good winter drink where one is enough and you can take your time, then buy a Double Bastard Ale and add a shot of dark rum to it. On a cold night it'll make you feel like a polar bear tucked safely in his cave.

Double Bastard is the big brother to Arrogant Bastard Ale, by Stone Brewing Co. They're sold in 22 oz. bottles, Arrogant is about 8 % , but the Double chimes in at over 11% ABV. When you add the shot of rum, it makes a delectibly strong and heavy brew that you can sip on all night. Little boys and women won't like it, but if you're a seasoned beer drinker, I suggest trying it out.

I just noticed from sandgoose. did you do a "shot" of Talisker? I hope not, that's bordering blasphemy. Talisker should be sipped on the rocks with a dribble of water. That is also one of my favorite single malts, I was pleased to see Amwidkle mention it.

That first concoction sounds good Raro! What type of dark rum do you prefer? I went through a serious Kraken phase.

Kraken is some good stuff. I'll use what's on hand, even the cheap stuff like Bacardi dark and meyer's are ok. You can also use lighter spiced rums like sailor and captian.
