As someone that is planning to play in this game I'd like to see it populated by enthusiastic players. Your comments on this since it's announcement have been self-serving, confusing. and redundant.

The topic is trying to find players interested in playing the game. Whether or not the GM needs to map alteration to the map or not is completely irrelevant to this discussion. All of your babble about a game that you have no control over (I think we might be touching on the real problem here) is confusing to people who might be interested in playing. This thread is one meant to seek out new players, not a place for you to pat yourself on the back repetitively.

Maybe you should just learn how to write? Everyone is aware that you designed the variant. You do not need to tell us this on a daily basis. Are you insecure much? Perhaps a bum or two with an update. All the crap about map redrawing and your (naive) comments about strategy are pointless, particularly to people here who have never played the game and have no frame of reference at all to understand your repetitive dives into pools of minutiae.

I jumped to no conclusions, made no characterizations. I have never said that I have players lined up to play. It's not my game. I may sign up to play in it (although your behavior here makes me leary of doing so already). I am not GMing it. Neither are you. So shut up about rules and processes, and let the GM handle that. He runs the game better than you do, because he's impartial as a GM, something that you have never mastered. I asked you to stay on topic, because your posts are straying off it, and you're having an argument with yourself over the merits of the game in the same thread that is being use to recruit players to it. That's going to confuse people, and make them shy away. You're talking about this game like it's about to go into the variant lab for the first time ever. That's not the case. What's so difficult about simply saying that we need a few more players, and giving the GM's email address? And what is gained by calling people that don't want to join "wussie"?

honestly, sometimes it's the bigger guys that get hit with nukes the fastest! But every game is different. The nukes are a lot of fun for the most part, if you have them raining down on you it's not so much fun but watching it all unfold is funny to watch!

If we have any social studies/history teachers here, the game (well the early part of the game that is) would make for a great learning experience. In the real world we have the haves and have nots, same here. In the real world we have little guys sucking up to big guys all while sometimes hating them (same here), in the real world we find groups forming to assure no nukes are launched or the secret is not shared (same here). In the real world the big powers can do what they like but need to do so carefully and try to avoid being a bully or others will gang up on you (same here). And like the real world, things will start to unravel. The only "problem" here is the real life aspects fly out the window after awhile but it's still good stupid fun.
