Kinda knew that was coming, although I hoped it wouldn't. Still, it was a good game and well played to all involved!
I'll write up an EoG soon, and I'd be interested to hear all of yours!

That includes defeated players, btw - I'd be interested to hear their viewpoints on the game.

Hey good to see a result. I was begining to think Leps didn't want to win!

Have not had a EoG in other games...
Guess its somewhat my fault solo is on the record :-)
Happy with result though and think you a bit silly to think Leps would not grab Sc off you all.

Sorry Lakersfan as i said not personal and think we have played well before anyway! And been true.

Sorry to see some of the names like Butterhead who picked up centaurs and got short shift from me too.

On phone right now and a little painful, so will come back when at computer

Haven!-2 EoG
Year 1
Ah, I got Trolls. Not too bad a power if you play them correctly, but I have seen them do fairly badly in the past. My plan is to ally the Rogues/Magicians (whichever was better with their diplomacy) against the other in Year 2, but from my experience it’s always best to go for neutrals first and try to get a triple build.
Talked to both the Magicians and Rogues, and I can’t make my mind up – the Magicians are very enthusiastic – something I value in a player – but the Rogues have a better writing style. I’m leaning toward the Magicians simply because the Rogues can’t retaliate as hard. However, I'll wait for next turn before deciding.
Meanwhile, I have the problem of where to get my third build from... Hobbits want Never Never Land and the only other centres around are Riku and Tarsis. Riku is probably the better one if I don’t want a load of angry Magicians at my door, so I'll go for that. I’m going to try to convince the Pirates to go to Thon Thalas with a promise to support him to Newa River – that means he won’t get any builds this turn. Plus I have a good alliance forming with the Gnomes, so hopefully I can enlist some help from him.
Year 2
I took Riku, which means the Pirates’ll be really annoyed at me, and they got a build due to the Hobbit’s NMR. The Magicians want my help against the Rogues and I can’t do that without overextending myself, but I can help the Rogues against the Magicians and that will give me some extra SCs to use against the Pirates, so I'll do that.
I’m starting to regret attacking the Mags now... The Leprechauns have offered me help against him, but I’ve been swayed by the Magician’s messages and I think I can turn this situation against the Pirates and the Rogues. I’m planning to convoy my army across to the Pirate lands and ask Rogues for a bounce in Pygmy, which I won’t do and should let the Mags into TSC. Hopefully this all goes well...
Year 3
Well, my bouncing idea didn’t work and now I’m in trouble – if I start a war with the Rogues I'll certainly lose Riku. I’m starting urgent negotiations with the Mags and Rogues to try to form a three-way... Let’s hope it works...
My negotiations seem to have worked and conflict on my eastern flank has ended, so now I can focus on the Pirates. Just in time, too – the Pirates would have taken Riku otherwise. Now that the Magicians and I are working together in the Pirate Lands, I think that we can make some progress on him.
Years 4-5
We’re making very slow progress against the Pirates, and it’s starting to put us behind... Ah well, at least we’re strongly allied to the Leprechauns (now emerging as a strong power) and I have entered negotiations with the Wizards and Barbarians. They all seem to be going well, but the Wizards won’t stab the Pirates. Also, I’m quite glad that the Rogues and Mags are still holding to the ceasefire – if I was brought into a war over there I'd lose my Pirate centres for certain.
Year 6
The Mags have stabbed the Rogues. I knew it couldn’t last... I’m going to stay out of the war and focus on the Pirates, though – that’s where my units are needed. I’m also worried about the Barbarian advance – the Gnomes have almost been completely defeated. I’m making arrangements with the Gnomes for bounces, and trying to pass it off to the Barbs as an error because of a lack of communication.
Year 7
The bounces seem to be working, and the Barbarians are buying the lack of communication story, I think. Meanwhile, we’re making some progress against the Pirates. Wizards are trying to convince me to fight the Leps but that’ll overextend me again, so I’m not going to. I’m trying to ignore the war between my allies – that’s the only thing that’s going wrong for me at the moment.
Year 8
I’ve convinced the Barbs to let me into Newa, and I can pass it off as an attempted bounce to the Gnomes, so that all went well. My relations with the Barbs and Leps are at a high, but the Wizards are starting to get annoyed at me – although it doesn’t look like they’ll be winning their war. Since the Pirates are nearly gone now, I can start to take an interest in the Rogue-Mag war, but I don’t want either of them to die, so I’m going to try to negotiate a ceasefire.
Year 9
Rogues agreed to the ceasefire, and so did the Mags, but only the Rogues kept it. I’m starting to get quite annoyed at the Mags now. As soon as I’m done with the Pirates I'll have to do something about them...
Meanwhile, I’m feeling confident about my alliance with the Barbs so I’ve demilitarized Newa, which frees up a unit.
Year 9 (fall)-10 (fall)
Had to get a sitter for this time, and since the Pirates are no threat anymore I’ve left instructions to attack the Mags. Although he misorders one convoy, he manages to convince the Mags that he’s not attacking them (amazing diplomacy) and takes a few SCs off them next phase. I’m quite happy with the position I’m in when I come back.

Year 11
The Leps have been continuously trying to persuade my sitter to stop and asking him why he attacked, so I tell them the truth – that I got annoyed at the Mags because of their continued stabs on the Rogues, who’d proved themselves very trustworthy. They didn’t seem to think that this was a good enough reason, so my relations with them have dropped dramatically and I’m now considering taking up the Barbarian’s side in the war that was fast approaching. Meanwhile, I offer the Rogues safe Haven (pun intended :D) in Troldhaugen, since I had a lot to thank them for (they had agreed to all my ceasefires and had not attacked me when I refused to help them when the Mags stabbed them). This was the moment that made an almost certain five way draw into a Leprechaun solo.
Year 12
I’ve played off the Rogues going into Troldhaugen as an attack to everyone else – I’m almost certain the Leprechauns wouldn’t approve and I’m definitely certain that the Barbarians wouldn’t. Still, I want them in the ending draw and I will have to tell the others this at some point...
Meanwhile, the Barbarians have gone into Newa River, but he says he thought we were bouncing again, and I believe him. Meanwhile, I’ve been pulled into the Lep-Barb war underground and I’m furiously negotiating to try to stay on good terms with both sides – I’m going to need to in order to keep the Rogues in the draw.
Year 13
The Barbs left Newa, so I trust him a lot more now. I’m worried about the Magician NMR, though – the Barbs can quite easily take a load of SCs there... I need to inform the others of my draw plans now, otherwise the Barbarians may be too strong to stop if they refuse...
Ah. The move to Owlwood shows that the Barbarians have taken my draw plans rather badly...
Year 14
And so the war begins. The Barbs took Grissel and Orob, so I’m down two units, but I have a stalemate line in the Pirate lands already and I have enough fleets to stop him in the north. I’m a little worried that he may get to Troldhaugen though... I offered the Rogues refuge in Sorrow’s End but they said that they don’t want us to lose our position...
Year 15
The Leprechauns say we can push the Barbarians back in the Gnome and Pirate lands, but I’m not sure... Still, it can’t hurt to try. I’m also very worried and annoyed at the Mag CD – this means that the Barbarians can advance much more easily...
I’m still unsure as to whether the Leprechaun move in this year was supposed to be a stab or not, but if it was I accidentally foiled it by going to High Seas. In any case, he left Pan’s Labyrinth and continued to help me, so maybe it wasn’t a stab after all...
Year 16-18
Throughout these years, I started to entertain the thought that we might actually defeat the Barbarians – an impossible task, but the Leprechaun’s enthusiasm seemed to spread. I let the Rogues into Sorrow’s End and the Barbarians finally put up the draw vote – but I put mine down. At this point, I didn’t really care if the Leprechauns solo’d or not (although I guess something in me still hoped for a draw) – all I wanted was to make sure the Barbarians regretted trying to take out the Rogues. I was online when the final phase advanced, and although I groaned when I saw the solo message, I was glad as well. Because the Rogues survived, I consider this game a success – I never like to see allies die, and I was incredibly glad when he didn’t.

As I said, GG all and well done to the Leps in particular for the win. Sorry for the massive EoG, but it was a very long game and I’m not sure how much shorter I could write it.
