What happens when you order build Army and fleet to come out from the same supply center?
the answer is a fleet.
It may be the case that the system builds in line with the order box.
though i cant recall if i ordered first Fleet and then Army in the next order box

Concede to a draw
Details to follow.
Captainmeme (1400 D Mod (B))

Would it be possible to allow the Concede button to also concede to draws? For instance:
2 powers are determined to see a game end in a two-way draw. They've worked together to wipe out every other power bar one, who already knows he's going to be defeated.
Currently, that last power has two options - play on (which I can see the merit of, but in some situations an alliance is incredibly strong so there really is no hope) or sacrifice all his SCs as quickly as possible.
The concede to a draw would make the second option much faster - all the person would need to do is press 'concede' and then the other two could vote 'draw' and the draw would be two-way, with the third person having resigned.
Is this possible to implement?

At first glance this seems like a great idea, very insightful, and helpful in some situations. However, my concern with implementing this is that we would encourage more of these situation to manifest themselves, and specifically discourage players that fight to the end, never giving up. By putting such a system in place we would very likely bypass some of the (admittedly few) miraculous comebacks which make the game truely special. One of the wisest principles of Diplomacy is to 'never say never'.

That is very true indeed.
They use a system over on PlayDiplomacy (not sure if anyone here's heard of it?) which has a default setting of people being able to Concede to Draws, but you can enable DIAS (Draws Include All Survivors) in the game-create page. How about a reversal of this - a default state of DIAS, but Concede to Draws being available if wanted? This would encourage more people to use the first, but if people wanted a shorter game, the second option is available?

Please no! I hate winning to a concede and I would hate conceede to draw even more.

Just wondering - why? Is it because you haven't shown your full prowess at the game? Or does it feel like it's a dishonorable victory?

The other problem with conceding to a draw is say I am france, since the start of the game I have allied with england, turket, the last player is done to 5scs, my plan is to make a last minute stab and get the win.

Suddenly turkey votes concede and england votes draw messaging me for a good game as a faithful ally.

Now, I have 2 choices, either vote draw, or refuse to vote, announcing to the world my intention of a stab.

England, now fully aware of my intentions allys with turkey against me and gets the solo.

This is my problem with a concede to a draw, it makes lasyt second stabs impossible.

I don't think this is easy to implement.
If you have 2 players voting for a draw, and one voting for conceede and one still missing he could just vote for a draw and get in the draw. The conceede is really meant for the 2players games, where it's obvious that one player will win, but t will take quite some time. For more people involved I see more harm than gain (at the moment).

I dislike concedes because:
1. I dislike quitters
2. There is often a chance for a comeback.
3. I see a weakness that my opponent could exploit. I put in a lot of thought on how to address it. Then suddenly the games over

4. It feels like a dishonorabe victory.
I agree with Devonian and even moreso with Fasces. It would be awful if implemented because it does rid you of the ability to stab. Hell, I get most of my solos stabbing allies who I'm going to "Draw" with

Back in the dark days of PBEM, you had the option of voting for any number of Draw scenarios. And provided everyone agreed to them that would be the outcome.

An example could be that England and France are kicking arse, and only Russia, Austria and Italy are holding on by the skin of their teeth. Someone puts the motion forward that the game should be won by E/F and if everyone left in the game agrees to this then the game is drawn E/F get the draw, and R/A/I get a survive.

I don't think that this would work though - unless there was some kind of public announcement and the instigator/voters remain anonymous.
