Basic Overview:
Participants take part in a series of games on different variants, each game having one less player in it than the game before. This is because each round one player is eliminated. The tournament continues until there are only two players left, at which point the player with the highest point score out of these two wins.
In each game, there is one objective that must be completed. Only a hint at the objective will be given to all players, not the full objective - for example, if the objective was 'Get an English unit to Munich before 1906', the hint might be something along the lines of 'This objective involves a German Territory, and must be completed by the end of 1905'. The hints are deliberately not very helpful, so players will have to use trial and error to try to complete the objective.
One player will be randomly selected at the beginning of every round to be the 'Saboteur'. Nobody apart from the Saboteur knows who the Saboteur is. This player is told what the objective is, and must make sure that the objective is not completed.
At the end of the round, everyone is told what the objective was and whether it has been completed or not, and have one more phase to talk to everyone and discuss who they think the saboteur was. At the end of this phase, all players must PM me with who they think the saboteur was.
If the objective was completed, the saboteur is eliminated regardless of the voting results. If it was not, the player with the most votes is eliminated. The points are then distributed - one point to anyone who voted for the saboteur, and two points for the saboteur if they are not eliminated. All non-eliminated players will then proceed to the next game.
When only two players remain, the remaining player with the most points wins.
So, anyone up for this? There's no fixed number of players (more players just means more rounds) so any number of people can join. If anyone has any questions about the rules, please feel free to ask.
