First, 17 pairs are made. These will be predetermined, and to verify this, the games will all be non-anon. Each team of two players will act as one constituent nation.
Round One:
Chaos (Everyone)
At the end of Chaos, the most successful TEAMS will move to the upper bracket. I will repeat. Whichever TEAMS end the game with the most centers, NOT INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS, will advance. This is important. If there is a tie, then the team whose lower place on team is higher than the others will advance: (Team AB vs Team YZ; A has 9 centers, B has 4, Y has 8, Z has 5, then Team YZ advances).
Round Two:
Upper Bracket [UB]- Rinascimento (Top six teams from Chaos)
Lower Bracket [LB]- Crowded x 2 (Bottom eleven teams from Chaos, one player from each team in each game) the only game to be played without a teammate.
Round Three:
UB- Atlantic Colonies (Top two teams from Rinascimento)
Europe 1939 (Bottom four teams from Rinascimento)
LB- Modern Dip II (Top five teams from Crowded)
OUT- Bottom six from Crowded
