And just noticed, but is it really the case that all you have to do is place in the top 6, then top 2, then beat one other team and you get 2 bye rounds to the finals??

Welcome aboard! 3 wins guarantees a spot in the finals, so yes. And as for "all you have to do", only one team will benefit from that, and only one other team gets a bye round. All other players are in a double elimination if they lose the first game, triple elimination if they win the first game. Does that answer your question and at least one potential follow up?

question, if this reaches a point where no one else joins, it is possible to restructure slightly to start the tournament, or MUST we wait for 34 people?

I don't intend to sound rude, though I can see that this might come across like that. I'm just asking as a precaution.

Well, if you guys want me to, once we reach the maximum of full teams (I don't know, maybe a week with no one joining?) then I will refurbish the tournament for the number we have and keep going from there, if that is what you guys want.

Perhaps it could be restructured to starting with 2 Rinascimento games instead of the Chaos game? That would be 12 teams for 2 Rinascimento games. From there Round 3 would become Round 2 and would have to be slightly restructured perhaps. But it's quite do-able.

IMO you don't want this to sit for too long or when it DOES get going, people might have lost interest or even forgotten about it!

I would love to try chaos, but I agree with Drano. I'd rather get started than wait forever for those last few players to trickle in.

Cool, I will come up with a restructure for the tournament by this afternoon.
