Suggested Feature
Larger maps make it possible that players face stalemate lines while other areas of the map remain dynamic. If these players have a large number of units (as is likely if stalemate lines have formed), it requires the repetitive entry of exactly the same orders. May I recommend that a button is created which allows you to 'Enter the same moves as last time'? There's no reason that one or two moves shouldn't then be modified afterwards.

ID#19708 looking for replacement. "The last war before we invade aliens"
Map is WWIV. I'm the Sichuan empire, with 24 supply centers, 19 units, no powerful enemies of consequence, and current leader. Progressing to around 27 centers soon, most probably. However, I have school soon so I need a replacement. See http://vdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=19708

hey oli and the mods I have a quick question.
My friends and I are thinking about doing a livestream in December when we all are finally together.
I was wondering if they could make their own accounts so we could all play a 4 player only map.
They won't play any other games but the ones we make for the stream and they won't play or join any of my personal games.
So basically its a free for all between 4 good friends. What could go possibly wrong?:)

I have a couple of rules questions regarding variants.
With variants that say they do not allow for a draw, is that the case? Do those formats not have stalemate lines, or how do those games resolve if a stalemate is reached.

RE: Obama's Response to ISIS and the Refugees
There are 40,000 - 50,000 minority refugees, a majority of them Christian, fleeing for their lives from ISIS. And what is ISIS doing to these men, women and children. They are beheading the children and women and hanging the men. They are closing in these people.

Read the references above, you really show a ignorance of the subject. And you're basically saying they are stupid because they believe in Islam, but when we supported fascists in South America like Pinochet, that was totally cool right? And the Vietnam war?

Perhaps you've watched too many Captain America movies or something.

The Vietnam war was illegal btw and the Americans started it. Hundreds of thousands died due to the effects of Agent Orange (chemical warfare anyone? Assad?) and even more controversially the US used cloudseeding (weather control, look it up) to generate floods killing many civilians in the Jungle. Not to mention murder of villages by certain platoons of soldiers, including children.

The Republic of Nicaragua v. The United States of America (1986) ICJ 1 is a public international law case decided by the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The ICJ ruled in favor of Nicaragua and against the United States and awarded reparations to Nicaragua. The ICJ held that the U.S. had violated international law by supporting the Contras in their rebellion against the Nicaraguan government and by mining Nicaragua's harbors. The United States refused to participate in the proceedings after the Court rejected its argument that the ICJ lacked jurisdiction to hear the case. The U.S. later blocked enforcement of the judgment by the United Nations Security Council and thereby prevented Nicaragua from obtaining any actual compensation.[2] The Nicaraguan government finally withdrew the complaint from the court in September 1992 (under the later, post-FSLN, government of Violeta Chamorro), following a repeal of the law requiring the country to seek compensation.[3]

Are you kidding me Synapse. This one is void.

1) Hamas is targeting civilians. The fact that they suck at it does not diminish 1 bit the fact that it is an atrocity
2) You still have not addressed the fact that Hamas is building tunnels to undermine a sovereign nation.

You blame the US and Israel for everything while you promote the terrorists. Look I can call you stupid too, that is the first sign you are losing the argument, you just did it. Your examples are piss poor at best for the argument at hand, too bad thought you might have been better than this.
Synapse (814 D)

1. I'd say that Hamas isn't "targeting" anything smaller than the state of Israel.

@Defiant, I am saying that the US and Israel are the same as the people you call terrorists, that's what you fail to see.

I am not promoting the terrorists, just saying that I understand them. I would prefer they pursue an agenda of nonviolence like Ghandi, and they should obviously be held responsible for crimes they commit. THEM, not innocent civilians who happen to live on the same block.

Look has this nation made mistakes, sure we all have but we strive to better ourselves, what has the likes of Hamas or Isis done to do that, nothing, right back to days when Persia was the power, no rights for women, beheadings if you don't believe in Islam, I am not calling them stupid because they believe in Islam it is the bastardization of Islam that is pissing me off and what they do in the name of it.

I don't condone ISIS at all. They've killed hundreds of people in a most brutal fashion. That is different to the civilians of Palestine. They don't have any links with each other, Hamas and ISIS.

Synapse,
The difference is Israel is reactionary, they are responding to what Hamas is firing on them. If Hamas stops the rockets Israel will not bomb them into the stone age, will not happen, they just react to defend themselves, again it isn't Israel digging tunnels underground to kidnap the innocent Palestinian people is it, who is doing that?

Hamas has the power to stop Israel attacks, DON'T FIRE ROCKETS. it is that simple.

Okay history buff, why did we nuke Japan? First Japan hit Pearl Harbor, started our war with them right? It would have cost thousands of lives if we had to invade Japan to end the war, so as brutal as the nukes were, it saved lives, and at that point, YES American lives most likely. When you go to war, you go to war and I am a proponent if Hamas wants to push it, then I say to Israel take the muzzle off and end it. So be careful when you think it is ok for Hamas to fire rockets into Israel with the terroristic potential of killing children, one of these times Israel will not stop and then you will have wished to God, Hamas would have laid down their weapons and solve the crisis peacefully.
DEFIANT (1311 D)

About your ICJ, its a joke, a bunch or partisan jackass's that just can't wait to lay it to the United States because they have a hard on for her. I will not go by any international piece of crap institution like the ICJ or United Nations, which have their personal agendas, that's why they don't work. Where is the UN now, we should pack up that building and send it to France.
Synapse (814 D)

When Israel doesn't stop, I will blame Israel and nobody else.
Who is a appropriate judge of war crimes then Defiant? Because US are definitely guilty of some. Or are you so patriotic that you are going to keep calling them mistakes?

Smallpox biological warfare to Native Americans - Mistake
American Civil War - Mistake
Stealing land from Mexico - Mistake
Genocide of the Navajo - Mistake
Murder of Nazi captives - Mistake
Nuking 2 cities of innocent people - Mistake
Genocide of North Korea - Mistake
Grenada invasion - Mistake
Indiscriminate bombing of Bosnia - Mistake
Illegal Iraq War - Mistake
Use of chemical weapons in Vietnam - Mistake

That's a lot of mistakes. I'm not condemning them for all of these things, some may have been necessary. but they are by definition war crimes. Your continuation to deny these facts is a unfair bias.

So you're saying if a country attacks a military naval port of another country, it's cities are fair game for nuclear bombing?
DEFIANT (1311 D)
08 Aug 14 UTC
I am saying it is ok to end a war with what we did in japan or fire bombing Dresden but then again Germany was bombing your country with rockets, so what's fair.
And for you what is a war crime, how is the civil war a war crime?
According to you all wars are war crimes, is that so?
And if civilians are supporting their gov't are they legitimate targets, for instance the Palestinians did vote in Hamas as their recognized gov't so don't they bear some responsibility here?
DEFIANT (1311 D)
08 Aug 14 UTC
Its unique how Pacifists/Appeasers always want to blame the power countries for war crimes but never look at the other countries, however when their interests or nation are at stake then they ask can you bring those big guns our way and help us. How convenient don't you think?
Yes there is no world organization I would ever subject our military to. If we have problems with our military we will deal with it, not the super bias organization with their own agenda, never. You sure as hell will never see china, Russia, doing it. Why don't you guys hunt down ISIS and Hamas for war crimes bring them to court, I never see that happening, why? Because you can't bring them to justice ever without some powerful nation that can go get them.
Synapse (814 D)

Damn Pacifists ey, holding the world back from progress.
DEFIANT (1311 D)

So you're saying if a country attacks a military naval port of another country, it's cities are fair game for nuclear bombing?

Do you think they killed only military in the bombing of Pearl Harbor? How about when they took over the islands in the pacific, what happened to the innocent civilians, if they weren't killed they were sent to work camps in China, do you remember Japan's invasion of China and the raping of their women and slaughter of innocent there, you need to read all the history. So yes bombing of our naval base and the consequent actions by Japan did justify the nuking of Japan, or would thousands of bombing sorties of Japan make you feel better because they are conventional weapons, the civilians will be just as dead.
DEFIANT (1311 D)
08 Aug 14 UTC
no they don't hold the world back from progress but by their very nature increase the casualties, just think if chamberlain or FDR would have acted sooner on hitler the overall loss of life would have been less.

But I still like hunting with my gun....

SY, I get your point. They are people. Hitler had the capability of being a fantastic leader in the world. If it hadn't been for the whole, "I wanna take over the world and kill Jews" thing... But that besides, Islamic extremists are people. People who go home to their wife and kids, and whose families mourn them when they die. But, that is not a justification for what they do. I don't think you are making that argument. It isn't an excuse for war crimes committed by any country either.
